If budget isn’t the deciding factor, the GSD Gen 3 is arguably the best built two-kid hauler you can buy. It’s remarkably compact for how much it carries, easy to park and store, yet it shrugs off two kids and a full load thanks to a torquey Bosch Cargo Line motor and a low center of gravity that inspires real confidence in traffic.

This bike is super fun to ride. Really rides like a small wheeled folding bike. So quick to accelerate, quick to corner. Just like that. It's still stable enough. So, you can do your indicating, you can take a drink of water and it's still pretty stable. I've got a bit of load on board. So, I got 30 kilos in the back, 10 kilos up the front. Yeah, it feels really, really nice to ride.

After six weeks of pushing the Tern GSD Gen 3 through everything from school runs with two kids to 200-pound cargo hauls up 12% grades, I can confidently say this is the benchmark all other cargo e-bikes get measured against. It's expensive, yes, but justified by engineering that doesn't compromise.
