I just paired up my Yamaha A-S801 and Energy RC-70 tower speakers with the SVS SB 1000 pro and after dialing it in with my speakers and room with the highly detailed DSP the sound is nothing short of amazing. This sub integrates well and sounds very good doing it while also bringing a little bit of that SVS thump. Very happy with this thing.

I was running a test tone generator as well as listening to some music and movies very loud, and these subwoofers do move, they move a lot of air, and they do it really well and very precise. Those 12-inch, high-excursion woofers are powered by a Sledge amp. It's the same amp in the sealed and the ported sub, and these amps are really cool.

I have had the SB 1000 pro for 3 days now. First day I turned off everything except gain and low pass filter and I was happy with the subs performance. Then I dialed it in with the DSP phone app and holy 💩 this thing sounds good. One problem though, it just shutoff on me mid song today and I wasn’t pushing it or anything. I unplugged it.

The simple fact is that, although it is a well-made subwoofer, the SB-1000 Pro is still a small sealed sub . As other posts on this tread attest, it can be sufficient for some people, but it certainly won't be sufficient for everyone. And, it clearly isn't for the OP.

May not fill very large rooms with massive bass, but that's expected for the size. App setup takes a bit of learning, but well worth it once mastered. Final verdict. The SBSSB1000 Pro is an impressive compact subwoofer that punches well above its weight.

I have had 4 amps off svs which all exhibit the same behaviour for the sb 1000 pro, a high pitched coil whine when the subs are in standby that disappears as soon as I engage the svs app so I just leave them on all the time. I had an sb 3000 that had a coil whine that went away when I plugged a usb in it, it's the bluetooth controller in the units vibrating away.
