Seriously Into Audio Since 1974 Article
“Upgrading from my 20-year-old subwoofer to the SVS SB-3000 R|Evolution is a massive improvement and that is an understatement. The old sub was decent once, but now it sounds slow, boomy, and weak below 30Hz, making bass muddy. The SVS is much tighter and cleaner in a compact sealed box which has a high SAF (Spouse Approval Factor). It reaches to 17Hz with quick transients, and clear detail.View post A
A kick drum sounds like a kick drum. a fast physical impact instead of a soft bloomy thump.Watch A
The PB-3000 R|Evolution clearly takes its cues from the larger PB17-Ultra R|Evolution and PB-5000 models, just scaled into something a little more manageable. It’s a ported design, which means the cabinet is noticeably larger to accommodate the internal air volume and the dual 3.5-inch ports. That extra enclosure space isn’t just for looks.Read C
The SB-3000 is one of their best-performing and more affordable subwoofers. It's a little smaller than some of their other subs, it's not quite as heavy as some of their bigger, badder subs, still just as rugged with a ton of bass. The SB-3000 features a front-firing, 13-inch woofer made of aluminum.Watch A
The 3000 R sounds equal to, if not better than my sb1000 pro. I don't have any measurement tools just playing some test tones through and app and my usual audiophile test tracks such as Geoff Castellucci's - Sound of Silence. Theres a particular bass sweep that the previous gen 3000 couldn't get. The 3000 R did it well.Read C
SVS makes some of the best subwoofers out there. They've been a favorite of our customers for years. And now they've got a new pair called the 3000 Revolution that really hit new lows. And I mean that in a good way. All the way down to 16 hertz for deep, deep impact. But playing that low is no party trick.Watch F
With groundbreaking innovations in driver design, amplifier architecture, power management, and DSP, the new series delivers deeper extension, greater output, and dramatically improved musical accuracy—establishing new benchmarks for performance in its class and well beyond.Read S
So, this is a pretty substantial upgrade over the older outgoing model. As far as the ins and outs back here, we do have your unbalanced ins and outs, also your balanced XLR ins and outs. There is an IR input, also a trigger as well. There is a little USB for some service upgrades and all that other stuff.Watch C
Ported subwoofers use the rear energy from the driver to reinforce output, particularly in the deep bass region. What this normally translates to is significantly more output between roughly 18Hz and 35Hz, and extension that reaches down to 16Hz.Read N
So, uh, starting with the plate amplifier, 50% more power. You now have 1,200 watts RMS. That's an incredible amount of amplifier power out of such a compact enclosure. The plate amp is also a sealed design. Now, I'll throw an image on screen so you can see what I'm talking about. The unit is is sealed off. So, like the circus is no longer exposed within the cabinet.Watch E
Building on flagship SVS 17-Ultra R|Evolution Series technologies that reshaped the industry, these models are the sweet spot of SVS subwoofers, delivering unrivaled output, extension, and transient response, with nearly unmeasurable distortion.Read A
You get a little older hopefully you get a little bit more breathing room with your budget but that's still a lot of money to me even at this age but I did tons of research and I think I landed on kind of my perfect subs what for my room, my listening habits, my listening levels these subs have been absolutely fantastic.Watch S
This was an excellent shopping experience. I am very pleased with my purchase and the insights your advisors share with me were very helpful. I set up my SVS 3000 in my room that is about 7000 cubic square feet and it clearly does the job.Read E
Balanced and accurate bass. Delivers clean, tight, and controlled bass. Not just brute volume. Compact and well-built. Dense resonance resistant cabinet in a sleek design. Powerful amplifier. 800 watt watt RMS 25,500 watts peak class D sledge amplifier with DSP. Cons: Fingerprint prone finish. Piano gloss finish easily attracts fingerprints. Glossy finish option.Watch S

Now, I'm not saying the other options don't sound good, but for the price and performance you get, this one takes the cake. As you can probably tell, the SVSSB 3000 is more than just a subwoofer. It's a finely crafted piece of engineering that brings movies to life.Watch A

This is the SVS Micro 3000R Evolution or Revolution and I've been using it now for a few weeks >> and it has completely revolutionized my hi-fi setup and it has taught me about proper bass management and sound and it is small, micro, one of the smallest subs that you can get out there. But, as we will see, size is not what you think it needs to be when it comes to a subwoofer in a really gooWatch A

In terms of home cinema experience the SB-3000 would be noticeable jump in about every way i can imagine from old and new XXLS400 MK3 especially if you have the ability to listen at high volume. This is where the 3000 really comes alive. XXLS400 won´t be the ultimate HT sub, but for mixed use in living room or for 2.1/2.2 hi-fi system great lower budget choice.Read D
The MKSound V12 Plus is still better than this subwoofer. However, this subwoofer is also much more affordable. If you're serious about your subwoofer, you will also need a mini DSP to EQ the subwoofer. You will also need a calibrated microphone and learn how to use REW, which is a free software. Learn a new skill because REW is not easy to use.Watch F Facebook Facebook post
I just got an SB3000 and I can barely hear it. I just plugged my previous subwoofer cord into the LFE, but I have to give significant volume to hear it and have adjusted volume, etc. in the app. Have bass on receiver at 10. Something gas to be wrong. I hear more bass from my floor speakers.View post V
Many users experienced issues with the subwoofer's calibration process. Therefore, if you're not tech-savvy or don't have experience with setting up home theater systems, this might be a major problem for you. Now, let me ask you something. Are you willing to spend hours tweaking and adjusting settings just to get your perfect sound? Because that's exactly what some users reported doing.Watch H r/hometheater u/Nervous-Vehicle3525 · owner
I have the new SB3000 Revolution in a 3500 cubic foot room but I can close it off completely. It's amazing for me and I plan to get a 2nd but your situation sounds like it demands much larger subs if you want good performance.Read thread S
So, let's dig into why you might end up either loving or hating this piece of kit. First off, if you're the kind of person who has already spent a decent chunk on a solid floor standing speaker system and you're now hearing a muddy bass that just doesn't cut through dialogue, the SB3000 could actually be the missing link.Watch W

Hey, I'm J.R., Training Manager here at Crutchfield, and this is the SVS 3000 Micro ultra-compact powered subwoofer. If you know anything about SVS, you know they make some of the biggest, baddest, most awesomest subwoofers on the planet.Watch N
Today, we are going to review SVS's new 3000 micro revolution. You guys have been waiting for it. I've been waiting for it. Um I saw it at Axpona. They had announced it just I think a few weeks prior. Um you guys know I already reviewed SVS's SB-3000 Revolution, the full-size model.Watch A
It is the 3000 micro revolution. And those that you follow the channel, I've owned hundreds of subwoofers. I would say probably 30 different SVS subwoofers. I multiple some of those versions over the years. I'm a huge supporter of the company. I think anytime I've ever reached out to them they've been super helpful. Their customer service is fantastic.Watch G
And up here we have the SB2000 Pro, which is directly related to this SVS SB 3000. There isn't a Pro on the 3000 uh because this is the one that started it all off um with the smartphone app and all that sort of stuff and all these other ones got upgraded and so they were called Pro. But anyway, yeah.Watch
