I've never had a 12" subwoofer before and once I set it up (had to place it on bricks to get it to stop rattling) I was really impressed with what it adds. I'm not sure what settings I used, I played around with the LPF, gain, and phase and placement until I got it "just right" but I haven't tried taking measurements yet.

The first time the Clip Shar 121SW kicks in, the difference is physical. With a 12-in front firing woofer and an all digital amplifier built to drive it, this doesn't just add bass, it anchors your sound. You don't get muddiness. You get to find low frequencies you can feel without distortion. That spun copper woofer isn't just for show.

R-121SW is not replacement to R-112SW which is better in about every ways including the 6kg heavier better braced cabinet and slot port for less port noise. The driver is likely better too as the R-112SW had beefier amp (300w/600w). I have owned this model. You can also see the differences on frequency response with the old model digging deeper. The naming of these subs can be really confusing.
