It’s sleek, aesthetic, has a small footprint and form factor, but also is very capable for what it needs to do: boasting 220LBs worth of total resistance, almost 400 workout classes to follow along with, a 2-year warranty, a bench, and plenty of included cable attachments to get you started. So let’s check it out!Read L
And I can't believe I'm saying this, but this may actually be the piece of home gym equipment that finally gets me to cancel my gym membership.Watch C Crained Charlie · reviewer · Feb 2026
Is the Speediance Gym Monster 2 worth the money? For anyone who trains consistently and values both the technology and the convenience of a complete home gym, yes. Compared to ongoing gym membership costs — and especially compared to Tonal — the value proposition is strong, particularly when purchased on sale.Read L
It's so smooth. It has a standard mode, which is excellent, but then there's also the chain mode and eccentric mode that can actually make the same weight feel even heavier. With the touch of a button, you can easily change how an exercise feels without having to adjust anything else. Honestly, with that eccentric mode, it feels way heavier than 220. I have never had an issue outgrowing this.Watch Y
If tech and coaching motivate you and space is tight, Tonal or the Speediance Gym Monster 2 are both worth it, depending on whether you want to pay for a subscription or avoid one. And if you’re a serious lifter who wants one machine to replace a small gym, the Major Fitness B17 earns its price tag.Read S
One of the best things about the Speediance Gym Monster 2 is that it's already fully built. You're essentially just taking it carefully out of the box, putting together the bench, and unpacking all of the components. It took about an hour. I would then say you need about another hour just to get everything up and where you want it to be in your home gym.Watch T
The Speediance Gym Monster 2 does exactly what it promises: it delivers a powerful, tech-driven cable training experience in a very small footprint. It will not replace a full free-weight gym, but as a smart functional trainer, it is one of the most capable and flexible options in this category.Read C
The hardware is high quality and well thought out. It's easy to change the attachments and move the pulleys for different exercises. You could make adjustments on the barbell attachment to where you want the cables to connect. Also, the barbell swivels so that it's not in a fixed position. The smart ring lets you turn the weight on and off by just pressing the button.Watch F Facebook Article

I just finished back and buy on the speediest gym monster 2 and it was awesome. My goal was to try to duplicate my normal back and buy workout that I do at the commercial gym or sometimes I'll do it in my garage gym on the Gym Monster 2. I completely programmed my workout how I like to do it with the exercises I wanted to do.Watch F Facebook Article

This is a huge advantage when you're going heavy. The ring also lets you increase and decrease the weight by rotating the wheel. On this shoulder press, imagine trying to get in position with 85 lbs on each cable. This makes going heavy so much safer on the Gym Monster 2. God, don't count that. Oh, yeah. All right, we got eight. All right.Watch E

But believe me when I say that the 220 lbs delivered by this machine is going to be much more challenging than using 220 lb of free weights.Watch D
I was able to use the product there, and it completely changed my mind and alleviated all of those initial concerns. Again, concern number one, digital magnetic resistance. I love it. It has the following resistance modes: standard chains, eccentric, and fixed speed. Okay, now your typical cable pulley systems and weight plates just can't offer that.Watch N
And to say that I was surprised by the rower on the Gym Monster 2 would be an understatement. Before I get into what makes this rower stand out, let me break down exactly what this is and who it's actually for. This is a rower that comes with the Gym Monster 2 family plus package. This is not a standalone rower and it's just an add-on and comes as a separate rail with a seat and feet holder.Watch E
The overall quality of the software is very high. It's intuitive and userfriendly and the onboarding experience was very quick and easy. So, if you want to see more details on that, check out the first video that I did in the machine as I don't want to repeat myself too much in this one.Watch T
The Gym Monster 2 isn't just smart, it's downright brilliant. This machine is packing AI powered personal training, a multi-functional Smith machine, built-in pulley and cable systems, and automatic resistance adjustments. Allin-one compact setup that fits in your home. We're talking 220 lb of digital resistance. And not just any resistance.Watch H
Whether your goal is building strength, increasing muscle, improving athletic performance, or maintaining overall fitness, the Speediance Gym Monster 2 offers a versatile platform for full body training.Watch B
The AI coaching part is what really stood out to me. You pair it with the Speediance app, and it walks you through warm-ups, form checks, and even suggests workouts based on your goals. I'm the kind of person who gets bored doing the same routine, so having a digital trainer that switches things up every week kept me engaged.Watch M
This machine is literally so perfect. I live in a condo, so this is like the perfect size for my space.Watch

These advantages come with some significant trade-offs, though, as the Gym Monster 2’s presentation and overall experience feel rougher and more stripped-down than Tonal's. It doesn’t have any live classes, can’t provide nearly as much useful form feedback, and switching between exercise configurations is much more clunky.Read G
In practice, the system is fairly responsive for compound moves like bench presses or lat pull downs, but it does have a learning curve. The first few workouts feel a bit guessy because the AI is still building a baseline for your strength level. After three to four sessions, though, you'll notice the recommendations becoming more precise.Watch G
That’s the appeal of a machine like the Speediance Gym Monster 2. It promises a full gym in one compact setup, without the usual spread of racks, benches, dumbbells, and cable attachments that can take over a room while still leaving gaps in your training.Read P
However, if you're a serious lifter who regularly benches or squats well beyond 200 lb, you'll start to feel the ceiling sooner rather than later. The machine simply can't replace a full rack of barbells for heavy compound lifts.Watch P
The Speediance Gym Monster 2 is a freestanding smart exercise machine with plenty of strength training options, though the experience is less interactive and polished than competing products.Read T
It delivers 220 lbs of digital resistance with auto spotting, eccentric loading, guided programs, and folds flat when you're done.Watch R r/SpeedianceCommunity u/Kabbum · owner
The German translation is atrocious. In the app and on the tablet, sometimes you no longer understand what is actually meant.Read S
If you're lazy like me and you make excuses to not work out, this machine might be for you. You can easily just fold it up. We got these handles here. We got to fold these up first, and then there's a button on this side we can press. And then we pull up on this handle. And if you need to make sure you don't take up too much space in your living room, you fold it up.Watch
