It has less power and its bass isn’t as deep or resonant. Battery life is also on the low side: if you stick with Bluetooth and play music at 50% volume, you should get up to 10 hours of playing time, compared to the Flip 7 (up to 14 hours) and the Pill (up to 24 hours). So, you will have to take your chances if you're going to drop it. Otherwise, it feels durable. There's rubberized end caps on each side of the unit and four rubber feet on the bottom as well. One side of the speaker contains your physical control buttons along with a microphone button, which is to access your voice assistant. It's worth noting that you cannot take phone calls with the Roam 2.

I received this speaker in WHITE about a year ago from TING. My main beef with it is that it stays connected to my HP Omen Workstation 100% of the time but will drop connection to Bluetooth. Reconnecting the Bluetooth to the computer is a chore. It doesn't help that Microsoft restarts the computer every freaking time they do an update.

Have owned a Roam 2 for six months. Quick review 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5! Love this speaker! No issues with speaker. The Sonos app is relatively easy to use. No issues with battery life, 10 hours plus. Sounds great. I’m going to get another one so I can have stereo on my patio!

We encountered problems getting the speaker connected to our Wi-Fi network and had to spend time changing the Wi-Fi settings. But, once that was done, the Roam 2 worked really well. Lucky its support for AirPlay made connecting it to additional Apple devices straightforward.

i bought Roam 2 recently, didn't expect too much for this small form factor speaker, but later very impressed with the sound quality, which is comparable to Sonos One and Era 100 that i already have, in one condition, the Roam 2 EQ bass set to +7 or more.

Ten hours isn’t a lot for a portable wireless speaker, particularly when other portable models can give you 20 hours or more, so this is a pretty big downside.

I just purchased a Sonos Roam 2 portable bluetooth / wifi speaker and I have never had so much trouble with a speaker before! I don't quite understand just how many times I have to program the WiFi to the device before it actually takes it! I use the Sonos App to assign the WiFi and it says it saved it but still shows offline and says to configure WiFi . so I do it yet . AGAIN!

However, KEF has omitted two of its competitor's most notable features. First, the KEF Muo can only be charged via USB-C, a wireless charging is not an option. Second, the speaker connects exclusively via USB-C or Bluetooth. While the speaker supports aptX Adaptive, it does not have WiFi.

I will also say I bought two JBL Flip 6 speakers and they WILL pair in bluetooth and sounded awesome. I returned them to get the new Roam 2 but you cannot pair two in bluetooth so worthless, returned those to Best Buy. JBL will not sync with Apple TV but the Roam will.

the roam though, the first one, would hardley ever connect over bluetooth, or would take minutes to connect to a device. turning on was a problem, it seemed the on button just didnt work very well. amazxon changed it no question.
