The Era 100 work perfectly every time when I link to TV for listening to news/sports just by pressing the play/pause button (press, hold, listen for the beep). I don't have to crank up the Arc Ultra anymore with the Era 100 in the kitchen. Works equally as well in the reverse when playing music with the Era 100 over iPhone Airplay.

If you're looking to really pump music through a bigger room, though, you're better off looking at the Echo Studio or something like the Sonos Era 100. You can also pair two Echo Dot Max speakers together for stereo playback and increased volume, but I didn't get to test this so can't say how it'll perform in a larger space.

Just upgraded my old Play:1s for a pair of Era 100s and man! I can defiantly hear a difference. Much fuller sound, more vibrancy, and just a cleaner overall more refined sound. They're set up as my rears right now and sound incredible. And even better when playing music.

In testing the Sonos Era 100 for the last year I've been impressed by the updates that were made to the speaker to improve listening quality and some of the feature upgrades. A 25% larger subwoofer was added, a physical switch to turn on or off the voice assistant was added and the Sonos Era 100's speakers have full stereo sound.

It was all right, but for that price, like for me, I got this for a cheaper price, and I think this is way better than the Sonos Move 2. Both with the sound and the bass of this speaker is better than that speaker. And then, if you're going to go for the price of the Sonos Move 2, then there is the JBL Boombox, which is >> way better than the Sonos Move 2. But, if you're into the Sonos ecosy

The Era 100 SL is the opposite philosophy. It has no battery, no IP rating, no going outside. It's a small cylinder, 18 cm tall, 13 wide, 12 deep, with almost 360° of acoustic grill. Controls are capacitive touch on top, including Sonos's excellent volume slider, one USB-C port on the back, one Bluetooth button. That's it. Both speakers feel premium in the hand.

So, the new Play lands right in the middle, not tiny, not massive, just balanced. Physically, the numbers tell part of the story. The Sonos Play weighs about 1.3 kg. That makes it roughly three times heavier than the Roam 2, but still about half the weight of the Move 2, which is probably the sweet spot Sonos was aiming for.

Um but but the the the the money shot with this stuff, the reason why you want to get a Sonos is because of the the dual tweeter, um fantastic mid-range on this, and the woofer. I think it only makes sense to replace my Sonos One's if I'm going to purchase the Era 300, because between the era100 and One, the sound quality is very identical, perhaps it's only possible to see the difference if you put the two working side by side, but in real world it's not worth the upgrade, unless you don't have the Sonos one, in which case I'd buy the Sonos era 100.

Sonos is back with new consumer speakers and the Play wireless unit is actually prettttttty solid, but for Dan, it's got on fatal flaw. The Era 100 SL on the other hand is probably one of the better deals in the Sonos ecosystem.

It's not the best for classical music. Here's why: 1. For classical you really need a playlist in order to accurately control what's playing, and the one connected with the app is just the secondary option. It's primarily meant to dictate what to play. Classical music is more specific, so I can't just tell Alexa to play Mozart's Symphony No. 40.

Long story short: my Sonos Era 100 is nice, but it sits idle about 60% of the time while I fumble around with a Bluetooth speaker as a substitute. Replacing this whole setup with a single Sonos Move would be the perfect solution. It can rest on the table charging when I'm eating, and I can take it with me wherever I go when I'm on the move.

IMO the Era100’s are NOT an upgrade from the One speaker. They are just different and depending on the environment you place them in, your preference to listen to Era100’s or One’s may differ. I had no wow factor comparing a stereo pair of Era100’s with a pair of One’s.

Don´t agree at all, the Era 100 is a dissapointment, like you listen with a towel on it. Bose is without doubt better. However, HomePod sounds best.
