Snell PR4
A once-strong direct-to-consumer ball now sustained by its own marketing rather than current independent results. The Q-Star Tour and Maxfli Tour do the same job with fresher evidence.

The only 2026-cycle coverage is Snell's own marketing built on the Pro V1 co-inventor story and a "same performance, 20% less" claim, while the robot tests that decide this category are crowning other balls. Its reputation was earned in independent tests years ago and it has been coasting since.

NEW REVIEW: Snell Golf's PR3 and PR4 golf balls are both strong, but they are built for different players. And the price point makes both easy to consider for golfers who want urethane-ball performance without stepping into premium-ball pricing.View post G Golf Ball Addict Golf Ball Addict · 29K subscribers · May 2026
So, you guys know I love Snell golf balls. I've been rooting for them really hard because Dean Snell is a guy who has his fingerprints all over the golf ball industry.Watch F Facebook Bryan Fuller · owner
He absolutely loved them - he said they provided great spin on his wedge shots-short game. Got good distance off tee today as well on a windy day.View post I Instagram Instagram post
I didn't believe the hype, but I was sure surprised. This ball is long off any club. The spin around the green is second to none.View post S
The PR4 is the smarter buy for most golfers. At $35 versus $54, the performance gap doesn't come close to matching the price gap.Read S
Performance has been pretty good. I notice the most improvement around the greens with great spin.Read T

The best ball and it’s not even closeView post

With the Snell PR4, I could get to or near the same peak ball speeds, but the consistency was not as good. My driver swing speed has been around 105 MPH lately, and that’s clearly not high enough for the Snell PR4 – at least not without better ball striking. If you’re going to play the PR4, you need to be very fast or fast with excellent contact.Read S Sorta Like Golf Review unit from Snell Sorta Like Golf · 1.5K subscribers · Aug 2026
The PR4 is four-piece ball, like I said, urethane cover. Uh it's really aggressively priced to compete against the other four-piece urethanes, and I think for players that are in the market for that, this is a fantastic option for you. Uh for people like me in the 20s and up, I'm going to see if the PR3 does a little better for us. Uh I just don't think I'm taking advantage of the technology in this golf ball with my slow swing speedWatch I Instagram Instagram post
The PR4 offered a more penetrating flight, but it clearly wanted a faster swing and better contact to unlock its best performance. And the price point makes both easy to consider for golfers who want urethane-ball performance without stepping into premium-ball pricing.View post
