Tester notes: One of our testers called it “the coolest lawn mower I’ve ever used.” He found the interface simple and the mower impressively efficient. It cut evenly across both level and uneven terrain, and clippings were returned to the lawn as mulch — a natural fertilizer that promotes healthier soil. The mower’s built-in sensors detected and navigated around most obstacles with ease.

The Segway Navimow i110N Robot Lawn Mower earns 7.1 on the SHE Mow Value Score, a solid wire-free pick for small-to-mid flat lawns. Its wire-free and smart-quiet sub-scores carry the result: RTK plus a VisionFence camera navigate with no buried perimeter wire, and a 58dB rating makes it quiet enough to schedule near the house.

What makes the Navamo i110N different from the competition is that it skips perimeter wires entirely, but goes a step further than most wirefree mowers by adding a vision system on top of RTK positioning. This combination is called ELS2.0, zero.

While the lack of all-wheel drive held the Navimow i110n back in our tests, we were very impressed with how the Navimow navigated our yard and alternated its cutting patterns with each mowing session. It also does it quickly; we could mow nearly all of our quarter-acre lot in about 30 minutes.

I was skeptical that a boundary wire-free mower at this price would perform well, so I’m happy to report that the Segway Navimow i110N was both easier to set up than I expected and that it accurately followed the boundaries that I established in my yard—every time I used it.

However, the AI on board isn’t as precise as that of others we have reviewed, and it didn’t seem to learn to avoid obstacles over time, getting stuck in the same spot repeatedly, or falling off the curb. But for the average flat yard, this mower has the right mix of functionality and value.

I found myself loving the Abdriven wirefree setup. It really does feel like you are guiding a Roomba for your lawn. The systematic mowing patterns and auto recharge feature mean you can set it and forget it. And at 58 dBA, you can chat with the neighbor while it works. However, some thick grass or mossy patches can stump the vision system, leading to occasional help. I'm stuck rescues.

It still needs some setup and occasional attention, but it can handle most regular mowing on its own once the lawn is mapped. The main difference here is how it stays inside the yard. Traditional robot mowers often need a wire buried around the lawn. The I110 North uses an RTK antenna, satellite positioning, and a front camera instead.

But there are a few cons. Mapping might need tweaking for yards with odd shapes or curbs.

On the con side, mapping can take a few tries for yards with curbs or tight corners.
