I have tested more than a dozen robot lawnmowers, from budget-friendly boundary-wire models to ultra-premium satellite-guided lawn-mowing monsters, and the Mammotion Luba Mini AWD is my personal favourite. It doesn’t get bamboozled by steep slopes or less-than-perfect lawns, the app is well designed, and you can watch it mow the lawn in real time via your phone.Read G
Instead, the Luba Mini drives curves, always leaving a few blades standing. In the corners where the walls meet, the robot first moves along the edge. When it hits the other wall, it turns off and runs along the other edge, leaving a small triangle of grass out of its reach. The triangle is as large as the radius the robot needs for turning.Read

The short answer is an unequivocal yes—and it saves you headache time, too. The true value of the Luba Mini AWD is its blend of reliable navigation and powerful mobility. Because it handled every aspect of the terrain without issue, I genuinely had zero negatives to report during my entire test period.Read F
And the Luba is always one of the best ones to do it. Also has suspension. It's pretty cool how this thing works. So, you can see how that suspension compresses on there. Really sweet stuff that we don't see on a lot of mowers. You've got this front vision camera with two cameras and also a rain sensor on top.Watch E
The Luba 2 AWD is a compelling package for homeowners who want advanced, reliable robotic mowing without the hassle of boundary wires. The fusion of RTK positioning and 3D binocular vision solves many of the problems that single-mode systems struggle with.Read T
Then here we have the Luba Mini. So this is the newest one where you don't have as much of a yard to cut. going to be perfect for you, but it still has all the same great features. Now, I've already unboxed these, got them set up, pretty easy. All we need to do is install the um vision module. Now, is what this adds is the Ultra Sense AI.Watch B

For an average-sized yard with weekly mowing over a 16 to 18 week season, the investment can come surprisingly close to paying for itself, depending on where you live.Read F
These amazing little mowers not only stick to a regular mowing schedule, but they are centimeter accurate with GPS positioning and RTK. They've been exceptional mowers, but in a small yard like this one, they're a bit overkill. I mean, it's almost bigger than the yard itself. Well, today I'm reviewing Mimotion's answer to small yards. Let's unbox it, see what you get, put it through its paces.Watch P

I really enjoy opening a package from Mammotion. And there he is, so nice. Oh, that is so cool. >> The Mammotion Luba Mini 2 comes included with all you need to operate it in the box. >> All you have to install on the mower is this one, the vision module. This one's pretty cool. It does all the stuff the big guy does, but uh in a smaller package. There's a few differences that I want to make sure you're aware of before you make any decisions of whether you should check this one out or maybe should size up to the full size. So, stick around.Watch M

Setup on this is honestly about as simple as it gets. You take it out of the box, pop on the vision module, and that's basically it. There's no boundary wire to lay, there's no digging anything into the ground, and more importantly, there's no RTK antenna to install anywhere.Watch T
The MAMMOTION Luba mini 2 AWD is yet another excellent offering from MAMMOTION and deserves serious consideration.Read T
It's got excellent build quality. Single cutting disc with six blades. And the cutting disc itself, it's a lot more solid than the old style. Another new nice touch is the rubberized hand grips. Right, the first thing you need to do is select your positioning mode. You can access that in the settings. I've swapped over to the iron navi, which means I don't have to set up the RTK station.Watch S
The Mammotion Luba Mini surprised me with its easy setup, AI obstacle avoidance, and deep smart-home integration.Watch B
All-wheel drive, very small, which is nice and light. And an extra little disc for mowing for the side that it can do the edges better. Why would you need a mower like this? I mean, first of all, mowing your lawn yourself, what are you? What's going on? No. And one with a perimeter wire is just totally for nothing. It takes way too long.Watch M Macsources Article
After a lot of consideration, I finally decided to give the LUBA mini 2 AWD 1500 a try.Read T
I'm going to run through very quickly what you get in it and how it's set up just because it is super easy. Obviously, you get the robot which we'll have a closer look at on the nice grass. It comes with the base station which is where it charges and the RTK station which is I guess how it talks to the satellites and works out exactly where it is.Watch J
This robot lawn mower makes my yard look like a golf course. This here's my robot lawn mower. And that is my other robot lawn mower. Now, why the heck do I need two robot lawn mowers? Well, I'll get in that cuz they're completely different. Last year, I showed you this Yuka 1500. But new to my yard is this new Luba all-wheel drive Mini.Watch A
I replaced my regular lawn mower with this, the Mammotion Luba Mini 2 all-wheel drive. And after testing it on real gardens, it gets surprisingly close to doing the whole job for you. But there are a few things you still need to know before relying on it, and there is one feature that didn't expect to use this much.Watch T
So when Motion reached out to me and offered me the opportunity to review one of their robot lawnmowers, I jumped at the opportunity to see if this would be a good fit for me. Now, in full disclosure, they did send me the lawn mower free of charge. And while I do get to keep the lawn mower after the review, the opinions are still going to be mine.Watch T
I Didn’t Expect This… The LUBA Mini 2 AWD Is THAT Much BetterWatch #
And the materials and build is always impressive. The real value of the minieries from Mimotion is that you're getting the same materials, same quality, and same worksmanship right throughout at a much cheaper price. The only compromise being the time it takes to mow an area and how much it can mow. But in a smaller yard situation, that's not an issue.Watch E
What's more, Mammotion claims it can handle slopes of up to 80% or 38.6 degrees, which is frankly ridiculous and means it should be more than capable of climbing the super fun happy slide that is our slopy lawn.Watch M
For this first pass, the Luba Mini is mowing at its highest setting, 65 mm, as we didn't expect it to be such a beast. For the rest of the mow, we set it to cut at its lowest setting, 20 mm, and it handled the long grass with ease.Watch E
It just makes steering the mower much easier easier, and the Mamotion mowers are very, very easy to control. So, you can see there that I'm already on the boundary that I already created, and the start button has become available there in the top. So, I'm going to hit start. Okay, and what's going to happen is the mower will just turn around and have a little look around.Watch R

Luba Mini 2 – Mammotion has Finally fixed these 5 Major Flaws!Watch R
Overall, no complaints. It's powerful, reliable, and very complete. It can handle tough gardens with slopes up to 80% thanks to its all-wheel drive and dual cutting decks. It also cuts very close to the edges, leaving only about 10 cm uncut, which is very good for a robot mower.Watch R
I noticed that it was very precise in the gardens where I tested it. This robot is designed to mow areas up to 1,000 square meters maximum. If you have more than 1,000 square meters, you have the Luba 3, which is more suitable for gardens of 1,500 square meters or more. On the sides, there are also quite a few protections. This is where we find the mini cutting deck underneath.Watch R

Pros + superior navigation with RTK and NetRTK or LiDARRead L
The part that took me the most effort was the setup. Mounting the RTK station sounds trivial until you try to find a spot with clean sky in every direction. Eaves and trees can mess with it. I shifted the pole twice before the app stopped complaining.Watch B
Takes a while to cover a large lawnRead R
However, if the RTK antenna has bad reception, if you have a lot of trees, for example, tall trees or a lot of buildings, you have the option to switch it to Inavet RTK. That gives you this very handy option. Another point also to consider is the app. It's very intuitive, I think, and especially it's updated regularly by Motion.Watch R
I am impressed. If I put my phone here, it shows 33°, then 36°, 37°, depending on where the wheels are. To go down, there is not too much problem. The small turn does not tear too much grass in the end.Watch R
The first big difference, which can clearly influence your choice, concerns the four-wheel drive of the Luba Mini 2. The Luba Mini 2 is equipped with four-wheel drive and can handle up to 80% slopes.Watch R
That leaves about 10 cm of uncut grass. In other places, it cut up to there. Here, we're more at 6 cm. Honestly, that's still pretty close. I'm going to restart the robot. So, we're going to do another mowing. There will always be a bit of grass to mow yourself, but that's how it is with all robot lawnmowers. The string trimmer integrated into the robot is starting to appear on some models.Watch G
This is very stubborn and and can actually get stuck and run out of the battery due to that. Low battery >> power off. >> Moving around trees or other obstacles, you should create a go no zone because then you can set the mower to go around that that uh obstacle several times to get a snug cut of it.Watch A
I've been using this mower for about a month now and I'm very impressed with the results. It's not perfect, certainly, and we will get to some of those criticisms, but as someone who's dealt with a lot of smart technology and automated robot stuff with vacuums and stuff inside, I was very skeptical and concerned, honestly, when it came to trying to find the right automatic robot mower for my yard.Watch

Many of you are asking me, does the Mammotion Luba Mini 2 robot mower work without 4G? Will it work and position itself only with its camera, or will it absolutely need the 4G that is free for 3 years? For your information, currently the robot positions itself with 4G and the camera. I just did a test on this small area. As you can see live, the robot is mowing.Watch
