The Saucony Endorphin Speed 4 continues to be the best shoe in Saucony’s line despite a full aesthetic overhaul. There’s something about the way the TPU plate, Saucony’s Speedroll rocker, and the PWRRUN PB work together. It’s magic on speed days and really earns the Speed name. Despite a more narrow toebox, the Endorphin Speed 4 is one of the most versatile shoes on the market.

It works really, really well, and can do a lot of things. Mhm. And this new generation of Speeds, there's a little bit of a geometry difference, Mhm. but overall, I think a lot of what you found in the Speed 3 is the same. So, it still feels like a It still feels like a Speed, and that means it feels great. Yes. Same type of nylon plate with the wings. I feel like it's really nice and stable.

Well, I’m pleased to report that for the Speed 4 Saucony combined all of the best parts of the Speed 2 (bouncy, snappy) and the Speed 3 (stable, comfortable), added in some new features (SRS sockliner, integrated tongue), and did an awesome job in the looks department.

This is personally one of my favorite shoes to wear for all of my shorter speed workouts because of how light it is, soft it is, and fast it is. No, this is my desert island shoe. Like if I could only have one shoe for the rest of my life, this is it right here.

This is a great race day shoe because not everybody does well with really, really, really, really stiff shoes. It's been popular for that reason with a lot of that versatility. Now, version 4 had a lot of changes to it from the previous version. Some people liked it, some people different. Although version five looks the same, it's not the same shoe there.

And I've loved the fourth model and I love everything that Saucony has done with the Endorphin Series, especially with the speed and the pro. This is the speed though, which is mainly used for tempo, days and race day. Some of the new things that Saucony has done this year is added a new mesh upper to the shoe. Changed a few things in the midsole geometry, especially with a new nylon plate.

We're going to talk about one of my all-time favorite running shoes, the Salcony Endorphin Speed 4. I have run hundreds of kilometers in these shoes across temper runs, long runs, road races, and even the trail race that I probably shouldn't have attempted. So based on all those kilometers, I hope I can give you a pretty good idea of what this shoe is like.

The irony of it all is that there are a lot of people who love Endorphin Speed 2 and would prefer it over Endorphin Speed 4.

It looks a little bit less race and speed oriented and just a little bit more daily training, even a little bit frumpy if I could put it that way. And that sensation carries over into the tongue.
