Just a quick comparison video to show the quality & effects of the 'colour night view' mode on the Panasonic HC-V700 camcorder. This was taken from my back door & was pretty dark, infact really dark, 2 street lights & the moon in a pitch black sky. As you can see the mode is very clever at bringing the dark into the light, even showing shadows we cannot see with the naked eye.

The mnual focus is great & adds a bit of life & perspective to your home movies. This camera has a focus assist which highlights in blue on the screen what area is in focus therefore helping you know when to stop you focus movement.

Stabilizer is fantastic - all was shot with hybrid O.I.S. disabled, and even so with great results. I was standing very close to helis so the condition is quite windy.

I am very happy with the camera performance. Did notice just how difficult it was to see the LCD screen in bright sunlight. Some shots (the soldier crabs) were blind luck as the screen was black in the sunlight.
