My favorite camera as a solo documentary filmmaker is currently the Canon XA50. I rented it for a week (thanks lensrentals.com) to test it out. Here are my (non-technical) thoughts on the camera along with some footage filmed with the XA50 at this year's Adams Morgan Day in DC.

The camera is in good used condition, powers on properly, produces a live image, and the LCD is working as shown in the photos.

For all-round video recordings that do not have to meet uh very high uh or special requirements for the video quality, the camcorders will usually be a very good choice and at least for the for this camera, the Canon XA50, I can say that you can take the footage straight out of camera for most applications. For YouTube for sure, you can take it out of camera.
