In terms of maximum volume, Lian Li’s Lancool 207 Digital spins up to 46 dBA with my sound meter from 1 meter away, which is more or less average for PC cases. One thing my charts don’t show, however, is the pitch noise, which isn’t particularly annoying here (at least to me). So I would say that the noise doesn’t “feel” as loud as the dBA measurements would indicate. But your ears may give you a different opinion.

Lian Li announced its Lancool 207 $80 high-airflow budget case, coming out later this year and likely competing as one of the fiercest sub-$100 PC cases for 2024. We'll see how it does in our review. The company also showcased its Lancool 217 with wood paneling at #computex 2024, alongside its SL V3 "wireless" RGB solution (or at least, wire reducing). The Lancool series is exciting for bringing the industry back towards cheap competitors. We're looking forward to seeing how it does. For the Lancool 207's, the layout is extremely good for air cooling rigs, as you can have fans in a certain config such that you have a perfect diagonal of air flow across the board, starting at the bottom right, and going to the top left. i.e. The front fans collide with the bottom fans, right at the corner of the board, creating this diagonal flow.

The Lancool series have been a community favourite for quite some time now, for good reason too! Huge airflow, relatively low price and masses of hardware support. Whilst the Lancool 207 is essentially Micro ATX sized in some ways, it doesn't sacrifice on performance.

I have to be honest and say the Lancool 207 Digital is a lot of PC case for the money. Not only are you getting a very well made chassis, but the included two 140mm front intake fans and two 120mm bottom intake fans perform very well indeed, making the whole package almost untouchable at the price vs quality.

The included front fans I received on the 207 are of poor quality and have sound issues at low RPMs (clicking sound) and humming at middle RPM ranges. Quality aside, they do have a nice aesthetic.

Overall, I enjoyed working with this case. I appreciate the thought/engineering that went into designing it. Why aren't more manufacturers moving the PSU to the front of the chassis? The case felt solid and well-made. The panels/panel gaps lined up perfectly with my unit. There are tiny areas for improvement, though.

The screen is in a inconvenient position for my use case and alittle dimm for how bright the room is where my pc is. The fans aren't the best quality especially the front 140mm ones they are extremely loud at high rpm but perfectly functional i always planed to replace them anyway. For me and my motherboard i had to remove the bottom cable management bracket as it interferes with the usb3 port.

Got this case last week, great case, lots of space and amazing airflow. One small complain though is that the two 14cm front fans seem to have a humming problem between certain rpm. (There are several posts on reddit also reporting about the front fan humming) Mine starts humming between 20~35% speed and it's really noticeable so I had to go to BIOS and tune it down to ~15% when below 50°C.

I believe it was the ancient Sage Master Yoda that once said, " judge this PC case not by its size" and that was exactly the advice we needed when we were looking at the Lian Li Lancool 207. It's smallish and comparatively lower price, but it's built like a brick house and it has a few big surprises in it.

Now on paper, this thing is great and for the most part I would agree. This is running using Alcon 3. So you will get a little USB port which you'll have to connect to your motherboard to get it running. However, if you don't have an old school USB 2.0 0 interior port left on your motherboard for whatever reason.
