An often unheralded benefit of the E8 is the cup illumination feature. Weirdly, Jura advertises this as a way to make your finished drink look stylish, but I found it more useful for brewing without turning on all the lights in the morning.

Now, now that we've covered that, meet the brand new Jura E8 super-automatic coffee machine, which is the best-selling Jura coffee machine worldwide. It is, Rod, and it also is a personal favorite of mine as well. Fantastic. Now, I said brand new. When did this come out? When was it introduced? March of 2021, it was introduced here to us in Canada. So, less than a year ago. That's fantastic.

Both machines are great. The Jura E8 is perfect if you want quality coffee without the extra cost. It’s simple to use and delivers great results. The Jura S8 is better if you want more features and customization options.

I’ve not used the E8, but by reputation I know they’re decent bean to cup machines, pretty much everyone I’ve spoken to who has one seems to be happy with the cup quality.

There's nothing this thing can't do. Um as you can see on the display here, you have all kinds of different options of drinks you can make. Really cool. I don't even know what all of them are yet. Um you can modify the settings so you can tell it how much milk you want, um how many ounces of beans you want.

If steam milk is important for you, then obviously the J8 and S8 are better options because the E8 really only prepares microphone. All three will do your froth milk and microfoam. But if you just want that steam milk option, definitely consider the S8 and the J8. Some other similarities amongst these machines, they all share URA's pulse extraction process, better known as PEP.

So, that's why large offices can sometimes get frustrated with the E8. For me, the E8 has five major pros compared to other Jurroof machines. Pro number one, and this is across the whole E range of Jura machines, it has what they call pulse extraction.

It's 4.3 star rating from 40 reviewers tells us that most owners are happy, but there's still a slice of the crowd that's either clue that it isn't a universal fit. When you unbox the E8, you get the machine itself, the Aroma G3 grinder, a glass milk container, and the usual water filter and drip tray. The first thing you notice is the piano black finish.

If you're a coffee lover who drinks two or more specialty drinks a day, values consistency, and prefers a machine that can be programmed to your exact taste profile, you'll likely appreciate what this machine brings to the table. Families with multiple coffee preferences also benefit. One person can dial in a bold espresso, another can select a milder lungo, and the machine remembers each setting.
