Sporting the Luminus SFT40 LED for an impressive combination beam performance. Laer pointer & UV LED. Nice size & flat design for tactical or EDC. Comes in three body colors. Nice and rugged build quality. Enjoy.Read C
Jet beam. It's in my top three favorite flashlights. Got a tail switch there. can use it tactically as well if needed. You kind of see the name behind the clip. Now, you can remove this if you don't want it on there. It's got a semiclos finish here. It's got some grooves here on the body to help grip the light however you want to carry it. Flat wedges, square designs are super popular.Watch M
On to the body itself, you can see we do have quite a nice design on this really. This is Jetbeam's answer to some of the other offerings out there. I think Olight do one as well. The thinner, flatter profile which some people like for sort of EDC carry. There's your rotary switch at the top and that has decent bit of resistance.Watch B
has a lot little bit more power to it, you know, as far as lumens coming out, but this one is pretty pretty pretty good. Now, of course, you've got your standard um aluminum construction. We even got some pops of blue on it, which looks pretty cool. I kind of like that the black with the blue accent. Very nice. You do have a pocket clip.Watch
Frequently asked questions
It ranks #3 (A tier) on our consolidated flashlights board, drawn from 6 independent outlets.
Shorter battery life over time. Less robust construction.
Someone who wants a compact, bright light with a UV mode in the same body. It sits in A tier at rank 3 on our flashlights board, with good brightness and battery life, a durable construction, a 2,800 lumen output and a compact design. The UV mode is the thing no other board product has, so it suits inspection work, checking for pet stains or leaks, and hobby use. If you do not need UV, the ThruNite Archer 2A C and the Olight Arkfeld Ultra in S tier rank higher and carry fewer cons.
The research credits its durable construction, but it also records two cons on longevity: shorter battery life over time and a less robust construction than the S tier picks. In plain terms, it should work for years, but expect its runtime to shrink sooner than the Olight Arkfeld Ultra's, and do not treat it as the light to drop on concrete every day. For the longest service with the fewest caveats, the ThruNite Archer 2A C is the board's safest choice.
Two things, according to the research: the battery life gets shorter over time and the construction is less robust than the best on the board. Neither is an early failure, and the light is still rated for durable construction overall. Treat it as a light that ages rather than one that breaks, and charge it regularly to slow the battery decline.
Ultraviolet light makes certain materials glow, which is why a UV mode is useful for spotting pet urine on carpet, checking banknotes and documents, finding leaks in a system dosed with UV dye, and curing UV resin or glue. It is not a general-purpose light and you should not stare into it or shine it at anyone's eyes. The research confirms the JetBeam E26 UV Kunai has the mode but does not measure how strong it is, so for serious forensic or professional work a dedicated UV lamp is still the better tool.
The research lists a 2,800 lumen output and rates its brightness and battery life as good. Treat that figure as a short burst mode: a compact light cannot sustain that output without heating up, so it will step down to a lower level within a minute or two. For everyday tasks that is no loss, since a few hundred lumens lights a room or a path.
