Starting with the design, I do have to say it was great last year, and I still feel the same way in 2026. We have these matte rails and a matte back finish that still feels great. Having a phone with this full matte texture on it never gets old and always feels good to hold in the hand, no matter what. The lack of a camera bar is also a choice that is incredibly underrated.

I didn't encounter any performance issues with the Pixel 10a either, and it handled a ton of apps open at once without a problem. The phone does support 10-watt wireless charging, but there are no built-in magnets to speak of here. My Pixel already has these scratches from my bag and pocket, while the iPhone is spotless. But hey, once you slap a screen protector and case on, none of that really matters. The Pixel has slightly thicker bezels, which you do notice, but then the iPhone has the notch, which cuts into your screen more. But the real difference in the experience is the refresh rate and brightness.

I would recommend this device to anyone who is looking for a solid phone that won't break the bank, as long as you can live without a dedicated telephoto lens.

This phone is not a fast fast charging phone, but it charges up fast enough. And now we also get the satellite SOS if you need it. So in case you run out of uh your connectivity zone, you do have the emergency SOS connectivity on the 10A, something the 9A did not have.
