OPP trips or not, we believe the Gigabyte GP-P750GM is poorly designed. The GP-P850GM has also had similar failures in our testing.

Finally I found a video where someone said what I suspected, that the newer SNs that they didn't offer a refund for are just fine. I was really disappointed by GN not to do any follow up on those, even when they said they would. Thank you for your video. IMO these are then the best bang for buck PSUs you can buy, due to their reputation they're much cheaper than any other comparable ones.

All in all, I cannot recommend this power supply despite its reasonable price. You better spend a little more and get a similar spec power supply from Corsair, XPG, Thermaltake, Seasonic, or Cooler Master. I hope Gigabyte takes my comments seriously and improves this product.

Exactly 10 months after buying this Power Supply (PSU) "Gigabyte P750GM 80 Plus Gold" the unit gave a loud band sound and burned off. Was a bit late in recording, initially entire room was filled with smoke. I immediately shut the power supply took my kids out the room, then opened windows and let the smoke clear.

(P750GM, P850GM etc.) Eto yung mga PSU na may chance mag fail o sumabog. May mga nag rereklamo na din online na mataas talaga ung fail rate nang mga PSU na eto. I think huwag nyo nalang ituloy tung giveaway kase maaring delikado if matanggap eto sa mga taong walang kinalaman about sa risk nang PSU.
