As a lover of EVGA PSUs, I couldn't help but notice the big differences between the G3 and G5 product line. seems EVGA cheaped out on the "5" series. they switched manufacturers from the well-respected SuperFlower in the G3 series to FSP in the G5 series (not as well respected).

Having a good, dependable, trustworthy and fully modular power supply in a high-end build is a must. The 850 G5 is all that. The SuperNova G5 line starts at 650W all the way to 1000W to handle almost any workload. With an 80 PLUS gold rating (91%+ electrical efficiency) you're getting a well built power supply. It uses, as an example, Japanese capacitors.
