The best quiet PSU is the be quiet! Pure Power 13 M 850W. With 850W on tap, this unit is ideal for powering an upper mid-range gaming rig. That’s enough juice to keep an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 and AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D fed and, as its brand name suggests, it’ll do it quietly as well.Read T Tobis Hardware Corner Tobis Hardware Corner · 7K subscribers · Jun 2025
What I definitely like about the Pure Power 13M is that the connections have changed. So the 24-pin connector is now at the very back if you install the fan facing downwards , i.e., the mesh is installed with the fan facing downwards, and accordingly, you no longer have this fiddling, this fumbling around, trying to get past the large 24-pin connector to plug in another connector behind it. You can skip that here. I definitely think that's goodWatch C

One of my favorite units out there, for $95 this is a fantastic value. Rated A on the tier list. EDIT: The 12M is A rated, the 13M is a B+ rating.Read thread P

The Pure Power 13 M 1200W delivers excellent voltage regulation, outstanding ripple suppression, and Platinum-level efficiency despite Gold certification. Teapo and APAQ capacitors represent cost optimization that conflicts with $215 pricing. The single 12V-2x6 connector severely restricts applications despite the 1200W capacity. The value proposition struggles against Platinum-certified competitors offering superior connectivity and component quality.Read N
However, I'm a little concerned about the current pricing of the pure power 13 M especially considering what the competition has to offer in the same price range and even when taking into account be quiet own PSU lineup.Watch B r/buildapc u/Ben_Nevi · owner
Hi there, Router ero from the SPL PSU Tier List The PSU is stil good. We are dissapointed by Be Quiet! actions for allowing that. For the bulk capacitor part: Not that your PSU will ever reach that temperature, but the capacitor's lifespan doubles for every 10°C it operates under its rated temperature.Read thread K
While pricing and component choices prevent it from being class-leading, it remains a capable option worth considering.Read

The 12M/13M have been notoriously unreliable. I added them to my banned hardware list due to the number of failures I've personally seen (6x 13M's and 3x 12Ms), and that's not even counting the number I've encountered on reddit and other forums.Read thread B r/bequietofficial u/Fine-Marketing-8134 · owner
