This is one of the best values out there for illustration printing on a budget. The Epson XP-15000 delivers remarkable print quality for both photos and illustrations. It uses six Claria ink cartridges for vivid image reproduction. I was really impressed by how well it handled my mixed-media pieces with both intense graphics and subtle watercolor washes.

If you need to go large on a budget, we recommend the Expression Photo HD XP-15000. This is an entry-level 13-inch / A3+ printer that's more for a back bedroom than a pro studio, but we found it to be reliable while also coming in at a practical size for home use.

Prints from an XP-15000 should provide a substantial improvement in fade resistance over prints from a G650, and prints from a Pro-200 another substantial improvement over the XP-15000.

All right, let's go back to me and I will discuss with you what the options are for turning your printer, your XP 15,000 and many other Epson printers that are able to be refilled to a chipless type system where the ink levels will always be full. Okay, I think you saw how easy that is to do. Even I can do it. That means anyone can do it really

I did not expect to see such a good match. Maybe is my custom IC profiles doing this, extracting the last bit of uh quality, if you want to call it that, out of the 8550. The ability to render a red as true as it possibly can compared to the printer that has red ink to begin with, which should excel the one without the red ink. Another thing that I noticed immediately was the D-Max. So, 15,000.

Only one factor limits this otherwise stellar mid-range printer for home: the print speed. At a paltry 9 prints per minute, intensive printing is a no-go with the XP-15000. It exists in every other department, however, and it earns its place as our other best printer for home use!

Using a specially created test image and making test prints shows the importance of using the correct card type, and how with a basic plain card there are simply no settings that will give high quality results.

Now, the Epson XP 15000 is a bit more versatile. It has a rear specialty feed and can handle card stock up to 140 pounds or around 300 gsm, making it a better option if you're working with heavy card stock or want that professional, high quality finish for things like greeting cards, art prints, or invitations. That said, one of my viewers recently told me that the Epson constantly gets paper jams when they're trying to print 350 GSM card stock. So, just a heads up, buy at your own risk and make sure that you can return the printer if something doesn't work for your needs

That said, if space is limited and you want something smaller and possibly more affordable, the Epson XP 15000 might still be worth trying. Just know that you may need to troubleshoot or return it if your card stock is on the heavy side
