With my money-saving head on, that works out to about an eighth of the cost of most cartridge-based printers.

The Canon G650, (G620 in US), is Canon’s first refillable ink photo printer - with 6 colours including a photo-specific red and grey. Canon's MegaTank system is very economical, with a 6x4” print costing just over 2p or 2.5c - around a 1/10th of the cost compared to typical, even larger capacity ink cartridges.

The upshot is: The native (AirPrint) behavior for glossy is excellent, spot-on, at least for color prints. It's a decent printer, reasonably priced and with extremely low running costs, the only fault I can find is that there is no A3 model. The good agreement between native printing and profiles indicates extremely good manufacturing QC.

Natürlich gibt es auch ein paar kleine Nachteile: Der Drucker ist etwas größer und schwerer als einfache Tintenstrahldrucker, was den Platzbedarf erhöht. Außerdem ist die Einrichtung für Einsteiger eventuell etwas komplexer, insbesondere wenn man die erweiterten Funktionen nutzen möchte.

Since I mover house 7 months ago the scanner has stopped working. I have had numerous lengthy discussions with Canon to sort this problem out, to no avail. I have had many discussions with Apple who say that it is a problem with the printer/drivers, so speak to Canon. It would appear that Apple/Canon are unable to resolve my problem.
