Dyson AM10 Humidifier

The Dyson AM10 is the premium benchmark for bedroom humidifiers. It uses UV-C light to kill bacteria in the water before it’s dispersed — addressing the main health concern with humidifiers (bacteria and mold in standing water). The fan distributes mist evenly throughout the room rather than just near the unit.

This is supposed to kill 99.9% of all bacteria, which I think is a very important factor for a humidifier, since it's blown into the air and you breathe it in, so it should be pretty germ-free. Now I'm going to do what I like best when I get a new toy: I'm going to take it apart so you can see what parts the AM1 consists of and how easy it is to fill with water.

Letzte Woche habe ich den AM10 online gekauft und heute wieder retourniert. Er konnte meinen Erwartungen nicht gerecht werden. :-( So war es nicht möglich auf moderater Stufe 5 die Luftfeuchtigkeit in einem geschlossenen 20m^2 Raum wesentlich zu erhöhen. Stunden nach der Inbetriebnahme stieg diese lediglich von 39% auf 43%.

Score: 8.5/10 — A premium hybrid that delivers genuinely hygienic humidification, exceptional mist distribution, and a capable cooling fan in one beautifully engineered package, though its small tank and lack of smart features limit its value proposition for pure humidification needs.

It's leaking at the front bottom just off to the left but it doesn't seem to be leaking from over the top. Anyone know why this could be? Thanks!

these are impossible to clean, get moldy/smelly real quick, & as its an ultrasonic unit all that shit is put into the air too.
