And that's a very easy question to answer because without hesitation my first recommendation would be the Nexstar 4SE computerized telescope from Celestron.

Celestron NexStar 4SE review. Sky align go-to telescope that finds Saturn in 15 minutes. Ever spend an hour searching for a galaxy everyone says is easy to find only to give up staring at an empty black field? You squint at star charts under a dim red flashlight while your excitement drains away.

The downside is that this combination results in a fairly narrow field of view of only 1.2 degrees, which means you will struggle to fit bigger deep sky objects into the view. The NexStar 4SE comes with a 25mm Plossl eyepiece, but we think you'll get better results if you purchase an additional 32mm eyepiece and Barlow lens to make the most of the 241x highest useful magnification.

The first challenge isn't the sky, it's your living room floor. Because the 4 SE doesn't come assembled, you get a box of parts. The mount, the tripod, the optical tube, the finder scope, the battery tray. It's a 30-minute puzzle of wing nuts and screws. Is it hard? No. But, is it a critical patience-testing first step that many overlook? Absolutely.

I just bought one a month ago. What I have found so far is that is an excellent scope. But, I also found that is a very complex machine, so be prepared to have steep learning curve, especially if your astronomy knowledge is low. Not impossible at all, but you might need some time to learn. Saving grace is that the instructions are good and there is many YouTube videos as well.

While the higher-quality gearing in the SE mount is nice, the main advertised features of the 4SE, such as the flip mirror and built-in wedge, are basically useless gimmicks, and you’d be better off with a larger computerized scope or with the Astro-Fi 102.
