However, the pump noise is bothersome. It's loud above 50%, and there are still strange noises occasionally. I've fixed the radiator fan at 1250 rpm; anything above that makes it noisy. Now I'm wondering if I should return it and buy the non-Pro model instead. Would I lose anything by buying the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 model for my Ultra 9 285k? I see in tests that it will be quieter.

I'm just saying the upgrade from from a regular LF3 to this one on my specific setup is not worth it. Take for example the Montek Hyperfluent 360 at 320 W. The Pro beats its ass across the whole line and below 65% fan speed, the Galahad 2 Lite can't keep up either. All I am trying to say here today is if you have an older Intel chip, just use the normal one

This would be such an amazing cooler, if it weren´t for the loud pump and terrible installation process for both AMD (leaf spring too strong) & intel (mounting frame of worse quality than Thermalright or Thermal Grizzly - and you can´t mount the cooler without it! It was such a flop, Arctic undercutted prices of these by a significant margin in comparison with LF II.

Thank you! Like many people, I had trouble screwing in the unit onto the actual CPU. It's a terrible design. I tried what another commenter suggested, but it was still not working, so here's what we did: Screw in the black brackets ON the cooler first (but loosely). Put on the thermal paste, then guide the pump block on top of the CPU.

The cables (for 4pin and 3pin argb) that comes out of pipes near the radiator need to be far longer you guys installed and connected the fans using those cables and just forgot about literally every installation of radiator won't be able to house both rad+fans(especially your thicker rad) on inside of the case.

It is "lielterally" any of that, though? I was seriously considering buying a LFIII Pro awhile back because I kept hearing that it was "god tier," but when I actually looked into it, it seemed mid and had some issues that don't really get talked about at all.

I just built a PC and i'm running the same 360mm cooler on a i7-13700k. Bios temps read 99-100 degrees celius idling. Does this mean the cooler isnt functioning properly or should i look into undervolting the CPU because they're known to run hot?

It is among the highest noise level for faster fan speeds of any 360 AIO. Below 50% though it really has no issues, so it somewhat depends on your ambients, your case airflow, and how hard your system has to work to keep everything cool.

My only complaint is that repeated removal over time will strip the screws that mounts the pump to the CPU brace and they look a little frustrating to swap out if they ever get too worn.

I tried swap the copper base of the 420 pro with the 360 to see if there would be any improvement in temperature, but the results were the same.There's definitely something wrong with the pro version of this cooler. I see on the internet that the problem with higher temperatures on AMD cpu"s with the pro version is also present on the 360 pro and the 420 pro.
