The Acer Aspire 16 AI has a 1080p webcam. For a midrange laptop, the image quality here is good — maybe even better than average in this price range. And, as this is a Copilot+ PC, you get Windows Studio Effects for AI effects that tweak your webcam’s picture in real time. The webcam also has a physical privacy shutter you can close to block it.Read T
Acer has gone against the grain in one respect by supplying the Aspire 16 AI with a beefier 100W brick that does a solid job of getting power back into the laptop quicker than the litany of 65W chargers out there. Getting it back to 50 percent took just 27 minutes, while a full charge took 75 minutes.Read

Acer’s new Aspire 16 AI range offers something for everyone. If you want the maximum battery life for the minimum outlay, buy the entry-level Qualcomm model. If you want the maximum graphics performance, go for the AMD machine that I tested. If you want a machine that sits in the middle, pick the Intel version: battery life will be a little better than the AMD and graphics performance a little better than the Qualcomm. It’s the excellent OLED screens that make the AMD and Intel models stand out from the crowd, especially given the price. The Aspire 16 AI may not be the most exciting laptop on the market, or the prettiest, but in terms of offering a premium experience at a budget price point, few other laptops can hold a candle to it.Read S
The Acer Aspire 16 AI is one of the best productivity laptops I’ve used. With its all-metal design, big 16-inch 120Hz display, and insane multi-day battery life, it’s perfect for work, study, or just everyday use. Powered by the Snapdragon X processor, it’s fast, efficient, and super portable.Watch C
With its generous 16-inch screen and sub-3.5-pound weight, the Acer Aspire 16 AI provides a best-of-both-worlds situation. It’s like a cheaper Windows version of Apple’s 15-inch MacBook Air , which offers an optimal balance of screen size and system weight for my money. You’ll need to squint a bit to view the Aspire 16 AI as a budget Air, however, because its overall look can’t match the high style of the Air. But at just $700, I wasn’t expecting Apple elegance.Read N
