Buy the Surface Laptop when you want one premium machine that works out of the box, with more storage at the base price and battery that outlasts a workday. Choose the Surface Pro when tablet flexibility, pen input, or an OLED screen outrank everything else, and budget for the keyboard , because it doesn’t come included.

This is very expensive.

While its features and performance justify the cost for professionals and creatives, alternatives such as the MacBook Air or other high-performing Windows laptops may offer better value for budget-conscious buyers. The pricing reflects its focus on quality and productivity, but it may not appeal to users seeking a more affordable option.

It bests the Snapdragon X Elite (X1E-80) chip in Geekbench 6 tests, though it falls behind in Cinebench. As Rubino notes, "Intel is still a beast" when it comes to raw multi-threaded power.
