So, this is another pretty cool camera. So, just a quick disclaimers, as per the last reviews, the I have no affiliation with the company. They've just sent me this out as a free sample camera and asked me to give an honest review and do a comparison to some of the previous cameras I've reviewed.Watch S

Both cameras do work pretty well otherwise with the VFO app to transfer files, preview video, and change settings. The most fundamental upgrade between these two cameras is the bump in resolution from 1080p to 2K front and rear.Watch B
I highly recommend both versions favoring the non-IR camera.Watch V
The parking mode is particularly impressive. With low voltage protection, the dash cam can monitor your vehicle while it's parked without draining your car battery. Motion detection triggers recording whenever someone approaches your car, which is perfect for preventing hitandun incidents or vandalism. The night time quality on the A229 Plus will be drastically better than the A129 Plus.Read thread V
What you actually get is smooth, detailed daytime footage that makes reading plates at speed more realistic than at 30fps, but not foolproof. Here is why motion blur and distance are still physics. At 60fps, the camera disables HDR, so dynamic range drops in bright sun or at night with high contrast. Signage and plates can blow out without careful exposure. They claim super night vision.Watch Y

I wish the rear and telephoto were easier to adjust in the mounted position. For me they are a bear to rotate.Read V
Night videos sometimes appear grainy and blurred, especially in poorly lit areas. It's like trying to spot your ex's new partner in the dark. Possible, but not crystal clear. Now, if you're like me, parking mode is a must-have. The A129 Pro Duo's advanced parking mode records 15 seconds before and 30 seconds after an impact or motion trigger.Watch F Facebook Hunter Feldt · owner
