Our favorite all-around gas chainsaw was the Stihl MS 182 C-BE. In addition to the basic power and performance requirements that we were looking for, we valued its combination of lightweight maneuverability and easy operation. Some of the standout features on this saw include a spring-assisted recoil starter, lightweight guide bar, low-kickback Picco chain, tool-less chain adjuster, and tool-less oil and fuel caps. It was easy to start, easy to work with, and had more than its fair share of cutting power for its size.Read B
