All right, so here's one of the things and I wanna make sure I unboxed it, because I wanted to give Sennheiser credit where credit is due. Because on the Momentum 3s, we did not get a travel case with them included. I had to go out and buy my own. They included one with the Momentum 4. So we gotta give it up for that. And here's just some paperwork, nothing, nothing really to worry about.

We spent a week with Sennheiser MOMENTUM 4 Wireless to find out everything you need to know.

In case you're wondering, by the way, this is what you get when you order a Momentum 4. I think smartphone brands should start learning from Sennheiser when lecturing about the environment. There's not a single plastic packaging inside the box. Everything comes within this pretty hefty highquality case

Honestly, even at that $300 price tag, I still find the Momentum 4 to be one of the best values in the market. And the reason is that most of these flagships have been going for that $450 to as high as $550 for the AirPods Max 2, the HD 630 from Sennheiser, which is not actually the Momentum 5

A year ago, I reviewed the Momentum 4. Now, a year later, Sennheiser has fixed everything I complained about in this review, and not much to my surprise, the momentum 4 are now in my top 3 headphones. And since they released a new pair of their more budget friendly Headphones the Accentum PLUS, which even though its their budget line, now only costs 40 Euros less than their top of the line Headphones. So, a comparison in my opinion is necessary, to see if 40 Euros more give you the much better Headphones. And for comparisons sake, and because a viewer asked me, im also going to throw the Sony xm5s into the mix as well

These headphones are pricey and only offer average active noise cancellation (ANC). One tester complained, “ At this price, I didn't expect to hear mumbled speech and keyboard clacks. ” If you frequently find yourself in loud environments, the similarly priced Sony XM6 is the better option, but it leans towards a bass-heavy profile that some listeners may not love.

They have a monstrous battery life, ANC that rivals the Sony 1000XM5’s, and a new hard shell case. On paper, these things are amazing… but if you’re a momentum 3 or PXC 550 2 counusiour, and if you upgrade to the Momentum 4’s… there will be times where you will miss your old headphones

The Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless still earns its place in 2026 because the core stuff is strong. You get excellent sound, standout battery life, real comfort, and a feature set that still feels current. The weak points are easy to name. ANC is very good, not best-in-class, and call quality trails the top rivals.

So, if you value comfort plus long-term ownership, the Momentum 5 clearly feels like the smarter physical design. Moving on to controls, app features, and connectivity, both headphones feel very similar at first. Each model uses a capacitive touch plate on the right ear cup for volume, playback, track skipping, and switching between active noise cancellation and transparency mode.
