To put it into some context, we tested it against an external hard drive from a well-known brand, also via USB-C, and as you can see, the results were outstanding. We chose a folder that was 54.8 GB with a total of 32 files. For the files to copy across to the hard drive, it took 9 minutes 42 seconds versus the SanDisk Desk Drive that did it rapid 1 minute 33.

In real world tests that I've run on a recent MacBook Pro, moving a 200 GB folder of 4K video clips from an internal SSD to this SanDisk drive consistently hit the 900 plus MB/S mark. That's roughly half the time it took with a traditional 5,400 revolutions per minute external HDD.
