The Samsung ViewFinity S9 (model S27C900P) represents the company's most ambitious attempt yet to challenge Apple's dominance in the professional 5K monitor space. Built around a 27-inch IPS panel with a native resolution of 5,120 × 2,880 pixels, the ViewFinity S9 delivers razor-sharp image clarity, translating to a pixel density of roughly 218 ppi - the same as Apple's Studio Display. Samsung pairs this with a matte screen coating, wide DCI-P3 color coverage, and an integrated Thunderbolt 4 interface capable of video, data, and 90 W power delivery over a single cable.

If we zoom in, we'll see that the text from the matte screen is slightly less sharp. But for real-world use, I don't notice any significant difference. In my opinion, the downside of a matte screen is not the sharpness or low contrast but the viewing angle. Matte screens have slightly narrower viewing angles compared to glossy screens, whether you're looking from the sides, top, or bottom.

So, the main reason I got this monitor is because it's 5K 600 nits. It's a matte screen as you can see because this is not a true black like studio display. When you get glass, you can actually get like close to the black and color shifting are pretty bad. like from here. I don't know if you can see.
