The I-2 is an older model that still sells at a discount, but it uses a single 1 V battery that depletes quickly and has no spare power source. Its firmware is outdated and does not support newer film types, leading to inconsistent prints. Warranty support is minimal and repair parts are hard to find.

Lately, I’ve been using the Polaroid I-2 , and I honestly think it’s the best instant camera Polaroid has ever made. The difference is clear from the first shot. It’s the only Polaroid camera with a glass lens that has been released since 1972, and the results are stunning. Sharp, vibrant, and detailed in a way I didn’t know instant film could be.Read J
And overall, I still give this camera a high rating. I do recommend it. So, I've done lots of videos on this camera. Obviously, over the years, when it first came out, I've done full in-depth real world reviews. So, this is more of an update after 2 years where I've actually done even more crazy in-depth testing with it.Watch P
The Polaroid I-2 is the best modern-day platform for the company's oversized, square film format. It works with I-Type, 600, and SX-70 films, all of which match the 3.1-inch square dimensions and look of Polaroid snaps that dominated the instant market before the days of Fuji Instax.Read R
This camera is fantastic. If you want something that's reliable and will get out of your way and it's a Polaroid camera, this is the one for you. I will say though, the things that I don't like about this camera, they're still true, but they're not big enough. They're not problematic enough to make me not want to use this camera ever. So, let's dig into those really quickly.Watch R r/Polaroid u/mb_analog4ever · owner
My initial experiments were lack luster but recently it has been one of my favorite tools. I’m not a Polaroid camera expert by any means but I can finally say that Polaroid has made amazing progress on both their film and “pro” grade cameras the last few years.Read F
I like the viewfinder in this camera a great deal. A lot of people were disappointed that this camera wasn't an SLR, single lens reflex, much like on the SX-70, but I actually am totally fine with that and I'm going to tell you why and I'm also going to talk about the strengths of this particular type of viewfinder. First off, when I look through the viewfinder, it's nice, it's big, it's bright.Watch I Instagram Article
Meet the Polaroid I-2 — @polaroid’s most advanced camera EVER. 💥🖤 It’s the most capable instant camera yet, with built-in manual controls and the sharpest new lens it’s ever produced.Read T
Wow. Wow. That's pretty cool. It's got nice texture to it. I guess we'll just do the main thing that people want to see, which is the polar ride here, which I want to see to be honest because I have been waiting more than enough time for this. It's uh like I said, 4 days delayed, but it's already Oh, it's got tape on it. I'm being stupid.Watch K
For those who want maximum print size, the larger Polaroid Now+ or I-2 will make more sense. For those who want more control, the I-2 remains on another level altogether.Read T
I think these results speak for themselves about the sharpness and just how the lens looks. You can see how sharp these images are even with most of them being taken wide open at F8. And if you need more proof, here is what I would consider the sharpest photo that I've seen Jenny capture with her Polaroid Now Plus Gen 3.Watch D
Without question, the best Polaroid (or the best instant camera, period) for professionals is the Polaroid I-2 .Read

While the Polaroid I-2 is the flagship modern Polaroid and the Polaroid Flip is the best affordable Polaroid currently made, these classics really are my favorites. I love the retro aesthetics of these Polaroid cameras. They can also put out quality photos on par with these new models. There’s a lot to love about them and little to dislike.Read D
40 pictures later, the verdict on the Polaroid i2 is in: my personal conclusion is, unfortunately, somewhat mixed. This camera, which claims to be professional-grade, unfortunately doesn't quite deliver the results I personally would have liked.Watch F
And it works! With a minor (major?) caveat. The flash sync port is not high voltage safe.Read M
So, the EV values in that scene were quite low and if you look at our previous little video or flashback, you'll notice we didn't really see any big difference. So, we contacted those who sent us the firmware and asked them about what's the difference, you know? Cuz we thought they're going to be like better exposures with the new camera or rather new firmware, but we didn't really see anything.Watch R r/Polaroid u/262Hz · owner

I would say for the half of the price it's not the worst thing ever, but yeah, we will test it today. And one important thing to do because as some of the Polaroid nerds know, the I-2 was having issues with the auto mode. Yeah, let's update the firmware. Okay, so while it's updating, let's me prepare the film that I will use today.Watch I Instagram Article
Overall it's a capable camera, maybe not 600€ capable.Read E
One of the major pros of this camera is that, of course, it's portable. It's a Polaroid camera, so you see the results instantly, which is nice, too. It does have aperture priority, shutter priority. It has like exposure compensation dials. You're able to see the settings you select on the like little screen on there by the side, which is nice, too. It has an in-camera flash.Watch

I shot these photos with the Polaroid I2. The i2 was really serving me well in Japan. This was right when the firmware update came out and I wanted to test it out. It did well. From here, we headed over to Diver City to check out that life-sized gun, which is insane.Watch
