The NordicTrack Select-a-Weight Dumbbells scored high for the weight selection system, which was our favorite usability feature. The pin adjustment is safe and easy to use, allowing you to adjust the weight in 2.5- or 5-pound increments . although the 2.5-pound adjustments aren't available between every 5-pound marker, which makes for a somewhat odd assortment of weight selections. There are 15 total options including 10, 12.5, 15, 20, 22.5, 25, 30, 32.5, 35, 40, 42.5, 45, 50, 52.5 and 55 pound dumbbells.

The NordicTrack Select-a-Weight Dumbbells are an excellent choice for those looking for versatile, space-efficient adjustable weights. They offer solid build quality and ease of use, making them ideal for most home gym users, though serious lifters may find the top weight limiting. Overall, they provide good value and functionality for strength training at home.

NordicTrack’s Select-A-Weight pair is attractive because it often gives you a little more top-end weight than many 50-52.5 lb sets while staying in a value-friendly lane. The tradeoff is the 10 lb minimum. That is fine for goblet squats, rows, and presses, but too heavy for many lateral raises, rotator cuff exercises, and beginner arm work.

NordicTrack’s select-a-weight adjustable dumbbells hit that sweet spot between quality and price. The weights range from 10 to 55 pounds, with 15 increments from 2.5 to 5 pounds, so they can accommodate a variety of ability levels and allow for smaller increases as you build strength.

The NordicTrack Select-A-Weight Dumbbells are sturdy and easy to use, featuring metal plates and a robust plastic casing designed to withstand the occasional drop (though we don't recommend it). With a weight range of 10 to 55 pounds per dumbbell, adjustable in 2.5-pound increments, they cater especially well to home workouts. However, they're not our top pick for accessory movements due to their relatively broad plates.

These weights range up to 55 lbs a piece, and they're comfortable to train with. But the adjustment mechanism is just too fiddly, and, at this price, the BowFlex Results Series 552 SelectTech Dumbbells and Ativafit Adjustable Dumbbells are a better investment.
