The NH-D15 delivered the best overall performance in my tests, maintaining temperatures at just 72°C under full load while being virtually silent at 24.6 dB. Its dual-tower design with six heatpipes provides cooling that rivals 360mm AIOs, and the 6-year warranty ensures long-term reliability. If you have a case that can accommodate its 165mm height, this is the cooler to buy.Read M
The NH-D15 Chromax.black has incredible cooling performance, combined with the positive air pressure being fed from the three front 140mm fans.Watch G
Today we are looking at the Biggest, Boldest, most efficient air cooler on the market, the Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black. One might argue that this CPU cooler is too big, that it hides away the RGB light or takes up too much space, but when it comes to performance everyone agrees that if you need stability and low temperatures, the NH-D15 is the product to choose.Watch T
The Noctua NH-D15 can cool a Core i7 enough to get 5.2 Ghz - That's proof enough for me that it's the best of the best air coolers and I had a lot of fun testing it to the limit.Watch T
The Noctua NH-D15 G2 chromax.black delivered strong thermal performance on both Intel and AMD platforms during testing. While MSI’s 360mm AIO cooler still maintained a noticeable advantage under sustained heavy load, the gap remained relatively small considering the NH-D15 G2 is still a traditional air cooler.Read 3
It's easily one of the very best air coolers on the market today!Watch N
Noctua was and still the king of air coolers, it may make an option if I build my future pc, I have NH-D12L the only high end air cooler can fit in 150mm width case the performance is excellent and low fan noise and I didn’t even use low noise adapterWatch S

Noctua’s NH-D15 G2 chromax.black is not only relevant — it’s a statement piece, a reminder that engineering elegance often outperforms brute-force liquid loops and marketing flash. The original NH-D15 became legendary because it simply worked.Read S
Noctua NH D15 Premium cooler update - Ryzen 2700x - Just AWESOMEWatch L
Had this cooler on my 5950x and it almost kept it as cool as my custom loop does. I honestly dig the color scheme too, gamerbros looked at my build and laughed at the lack of rgb but were mindblown by my temps and silence.Watch F
The NH-D15 chromax.black is an all-black version of Noctua’s award-winning flagship model NH-D15 premium-quality quiet CPU cooler. Thanks to the same proven dual-tower heatsink design and NF-A15 PWM fans, it stays true to the NH-D15’s successful formula of rivalling the performance of all-in-one water coolers while maintaining superb quietness of operation.Watch P r/pcmasterrace u/FuzzyAttitude_ · owner
Same, switched from an arctic 360mm aio to d15 for the noise level at idle/low load. I even went for the d15 so I can turn the rpm way down (~300rpm minimum), compared to a 120mm fan (~400rpm min).Read thread T

It has been a while since its launch, and it's still a benchmark for not only air coolers but a lot of AIOs as well. Why? Because it's a legend. It’s the Duke of AirCoolVille. It is the Noctua NH-D15 Chromax Black. So why are we reviewing it in 2022? Because there are a lot of pretenders to the Duke's crown now and we have to see if it still stacks up. So we are going to start with the looks.Watch W
It now delivers top-tier performance, whisper-quiet operation, and an appearance that doesn’t clash with anything else in your build.Read T
Not going to lie, I've been waiting for ages for Noctua to go ahead and finally release these cuz one I've wanted a Noctua heat sink in my own build for a long time, but it's just a matter of they've always been so expensive. Hey, look at that. Off to a Chromax Black Edition LT special edition. Let's go ahead and crack this puppy open and see what's inside.Watch T
Been running this cooler since 2018 and it's absolutely amazing! No need for an AIO whatsoever. My case is Fractal Design Meshify 2.Watch B

shrug I'm not as impressed with my D15 (or Noctua fans quality) as I thought I should be based on community hype about this brand. Some people pretend like it's perfection. I had the regular D15, now I have D15 chromax.black and both suffer from rattle/vibrations above 80% fan speed (common issue, you can look it up, and even G2 has it). So I had to limit fan speed in BIOS up to 80%.Read T
Highlights of the CPU cooler: Premium design with two included 140mm fans Quiet airflow and excellent cooling Multiple parts for easy installation on multiple CPU sockets 6 year warranty Lowlights: It's massive and hides my fancy motherboard :(Watch T
Aesthetically, I do find it pleasing. But the one thing that bothers me is the offset difference between the 2 fans on the CPU cooler and the rear exhaust. The cooler fans are lower than the rear exhaust, and symmetry is important, at least for me.Read N

I was looking at this NH-15, but I'm getting the 15s 140mm. I had got one a while back and it really does the job in cooling the CPU.Watch U
But the NH-D15 is very tall, and if you want to use both fans (included with the cooler), your ram must be lower than 32mm in height! The RAM that we used was (https://amzn.to/2PlrO21 (affiliate link), and it 31mm height, and it first perfectly!Watch

So you're paying twice as much for more noise and more heat. I'm not sure 10C is "slightly higher base temperature," and that's to the best air cooler. There's a 7 degree difference between the best air cooler and the last place water cooler, hardly 1-2 degrees, unless you're ignoring noise and just blasting fans on the air cooler to try to make up for the reduced efficiency.Read B r/buildapc u/Rare_Construction575 · owner
