The Noctua NH-D15 can cool a Core i7 enough to get 5.2 Ghz - That's proof enough for me that it's the best of the best air coolers and I had a lot of fun testing it to the limit.

While MSI’s 360mm AIO cooler still maintained a noticeable advantage under sustained heavy load, the gap remained relatively small considering the NH-D15 G2 is still a traditional air cooler.

Noctua was and still the king of air coolers, it may make an option if I build my future pc, I have NH-D12L the only high end air cooler can fit in 150mm width case the performance is excellent and low fan noise and I didn’t even use low noise adapter

Had this cooler on my 5950x and it almost kept it as cool as my custom loop does. I honestly dig the color scheme too, gamerbros looked at my build and laughed at the lack of rgb but were mindblown by my temps and silence.

Same, switched from an arctic 360mm aio to d15 for the noise level at idle/low load. I even went for the d15 so I can turn the rpm way down (~300rpm minimum), compared to a 120mm fan (~400rpm min).

Aesthetically, I do find it pleasing. But the one thing that bothers me is the offset difference between the 2 fans on the CPU cooler and the rear exhaust. The cooler fans are lower than the rear exhaust, and symmetry is important, at least for me.

I was looking at this NH-15, but I'm getting the 15s 140mm. I had got one a while back and it really does the job in cooling the CPU.

But the NH-D15 is very tall, and if you want to use both fans (included with the cooler), your ram must be lower than 32mm in height! The RAM that we used was (https://amzn.to/2PlrO21 (affiliate link), and it 31mm height, and it first perfectly!
