This is great for a wide range of meals and air fryer recipes, but it wasn’t the best choice for making certain foods, like kale chips. Kale gets super bitter when fully crisped, so it would have been better off in my oven like I usually do. That said, this kitchen appliance’s ability to crisp food fast is inarguably impressive.

I don't like this part. You can't choose the exact temperature you want. And a lot of recipes call for that. Instead, come in. They just have different modes. They have the recrisp mode, which is 380 to 400, the bake mode, 375 to 400, the air fry mode, 400 to 425, and max crisp 425 to 450. And right up top here, you can only control the time or you can do the mode that you're on.

This is the best non-toxic air fryer I've tested. If you want a non-toxic option with minimal plastic and non-stick coating, the Ninja Crispi Pro air fryer is for you. The glass cooking vessel uses a aluminum crisper plate with a non-stick nano-ceramic coating and is PFAS- and PTFE-free. During testing, when other devices failed, I would put them in this air fryer to finish them off.

In my experience, it simply can’t compete with a dual-zone fryer for batch cooking or full family meals. Storage, however, is excellent. It fits neatly into a cupboard, which is a huge plus in smaller kitchens.
