The MacBook Neo is not good for Microsoft or any other brand who are trying to target the affordable Windows space because the Neo is just way too good and craps all over those Windows machines. Wow. And man, what a difference between Mac OS and doing a new Windows PC? Woo! This any day. My immediate reaction with build quality and the color profile of indigo is just a chef's kiss.

The MacBook Neo is a normal computer for normal people. That's the promise, and Apple has delivered on it — for the first time at this price point, from this company, possibly ever. It's the laptop most people should buy. That's the verdict. Everything else is the reasoning, the caveats, and the part where I tell you when it isn't.

I too have used my Neo for 3 months and I LOVE it! I do not have the need to run heavy programs etc and I have not once encountered any problem with this smaller version of the the Mac I used to have. I do appreciate learning about the limitations of the 8gb RAM, but for me, so far, it has been no problem.

You can see the main colorway that you choose, obviously like citrus, and MacBook Neo on the side. Even though it's budget, they still didn't skimp out on like the box. It's still like the same that you've known from every Apple product. And the first thing that I actually noticed, there's this little like hello on the pull tab, which is kind of cool.

I do recommend going with the 512 gig version, and the reason why is that the 512 gig comes with the Touch ID, obviously, but the real reason to me to get it is the headroom you get with 512 gig for a long term. And unless you're just a really, really light user and you don't use that extra storage, um this is definitely the way to go.

This is a surprisingly good machine for the money. Would I personally use it? No. I need more RAM. But I think it's a great pick for a Mac desktop user who occasionally needs a laptop while working away from the desk. It's 100% better than that cheap Acer you've been eyeing on Amazon. There's a lot to be said for pairing a Mac Mini desktop, which is more powerful but not portable, with a MacBook Neo laptop. You get the best of both worlds at a bargain price, since both are really affordable. And having two computers means you always have a backup if something happens.

It's clear to me that it's a cheaper Mac, but it is a solid Mac. Nice keyboard, trackpad, and the screen is more vibrant than I expected. It runs my Pro Display XDR and Studio Display monitors - but at lower res than native. I prefer my new M5 Air, so I'd recommend that one, but if you really want to save money, the Neo should suit your needs nicely. I can't wait to try this out on the airplane.

The MacBook Neo is a great addition in terms of its performance and it finally filling the budget laptop range. I do think its use is being overblown in many ways since its performance is still comparable to the 6 year old M1 laptops. And while it’ll be supported more it’s lower level hardware would probably mean they wouldn’t be viable for longer than the M1s anyway.

Macbook Neo is actually good if u are minimalist person or a person who do one heavy task at a time. You can still open alot tabs with always remember to close the unwanted tabs. Not only for neo, for any laptops you use. Just make it like a drawing board, don't put too much stuffs together instead have a clear plan on what u wanna do!
