The best reason to buy the 39GX950B is not simply that it is OLED or 330Hz. It is the combination of a 39-inch curved 21:9 canvas and 5K2K sharpness. If that combination solves a real need—one-screen work plus immersive PC games—it is meaningfully different from a 34-inch 3440 × 1440 OLED. The common regret is buying it for a specification that does not match the daily use. A competitive player who almost always uses 330Hz may be better served by a smaller, native high-refresh display. A person who works in bright white applications for long static hours may prefer a high-end LCD or Mini-LED monitor. A console-first buyer should remember that 21:9 is largely a PC advantage; consoles use 16:9 with side bars.

While quite good, it has some deal breakers (at least for me) and I’ll explain why: Firstly, what the 39GX950B does right: The Size (good) The 39” form factor is pretty much perfect. I always felt that 34” was a bit too skinny and lacked the vertical height that the 32” remedied perfectly. This is truly the best of both worlds.

The Dell U4025QW vs LG 39GX950B-B choice is a dock or a gaming panel. Both show 5120x2160 on a 40-inch ultrawide, so desktop space ties. The gap nobody publishes as a number is the bend: the LG’s edges sit 68 mm forward of centre, the Dell’s only 43 mm. That 25 mm changes how the desk feels.
