ASUS ROG Swift Pro PG248QP
It is superb for a narrow esports use case, but the TN panel and limited general-purpose appeal make it a poor mainstream recommendation. Buy Alienware AW2726DM or AOC Q27G4ZR instead.

Its 540Hz performance comes with TN-panel tradeoffs in viewing angles, color, and brightness. It is a narrow competitive-shooter tool rather than a sensible all-around gaming purchase.

Coming in at a close second is the ASUS ROG Swift Pro PG248QP . With a staggering 540Hz refresh rate , it’s built for one thing: pure competitive dominance . ASUS didn’t build the PG248QP for casual gamers. This is a straight-up competitive weapon. It’s one of the fastest consumer monitors you can buy, and the whole point is to push motion clarity to ridiculous levels. This is the sort of display you buy if you play _CS2_ or _Valorant_ daily and want the most “instant” feeling aim possible. It’s also built around an E-TN panel, which is still chosen at this level for a reason: it stays clean in motion.Read I Instagram Instagram post

The #ROGSwiftPro #PG248QP is the world's fastest esports gaming monitor. Designed for professional FPS gamers, with a 24.1-inch Esports-TN (E-TN) panel boasting a #540Hz (OC) refresh rate and built-in NVIDIA® G-SYNC® processor, the PG248QP offers incredibly smooth gameplay and unmatched realism.Watch M
At 540Hz, PG248QP 10-100 pulse widths (2.5-25% duty cycle) are 0.05-0.46 ms MPRT, meaning you'll need speeds between 20520-2160 px/sec to spot all the pulse differences. Decreasing refresh rates will help too, but since 360 Hz is minimum that would only change speeds to 1440-13680 px/sec.Watch D
All in all, if you have a powerful enough PC rig for ~540FPS gaming, the ASUS ROG Swift Pro PG248QP is the best gaming monitor currently available. It’s expensive, but if you’re a professional player, it is a worthy investment.Read M

540Hz is cool and all, we should always aim to better it. However, at this time, the marginal improvements in motion clarity come at such a high cost, both in terms of price (Monitor + absurdly high-performance PC) and huge image quality compromises (TN, 1080p). It's really really hard to justify for almost anyone. Also, those 480Hz 1440p OLEDs are just around the corner.Watch Z r/Zowie u/RiNiNiNiN · owner
So I need help deciding between these 2 monitors, Option 1 is the 540hz TN asus pg248qp which has ulmb 2 and gsync hardware Option 2 is the zowie xl2566x+ with dyac2 etc. Both very similar in price for me, what should i get? For cs2 high level competition mainly and maybe sometimes fifa and pubg, coming from a 240hz ips monitor with no strobing.Read thread M
Unveiled for CES 2023 , the monitor takes advantage of a TN panel, which is usually best for high refresh rates but lacks a better viewing angle, colour and brightness. There’s a 24-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution screen that is Nvidia G-Sync compatible and even supports Nvidia Reflex Analyzer for calculating system lag.Read

ASUS’s own ROG Swift Pro PG248QP uses what ASUS calls an “Esports-TN” panel to reach 540Hz overclocked, paired with a built-in NVIDIA Reflex Analyzer. The tradeoff is well known: weaker color accuracy and narrower viewing angles than IPS or OLED. RTINGS’ review of the PG248QP is a useful independent reference point for exactly how that tradeoff plays out in practice.Read T
The ASUS ROG Swift Pro PG248QP represents the extreme end of competitive gaming monitors: 540 Hz at 1080p using a fast IPS panel. The LG UltraGear line leads on OLED refresh rate, offering 480 Hz at 1080p and a dual-mode 32-inch model that switches between 4K 240 Hz and 1080p 480 Hz.Read
