JBL Bar 1300XMK2
Impressive hardware undermined for this lens by battery-powered detachable surrounds, the classic first-to-fail part, and a slower JBL firmware cadence. Still a genuine mainstream recommendation, but it sits in the lower half.

I've tested $3,000 soundbars. I've tested $67 soundbars. And I've tested pretty much every level in between. At some point, the price-vs-performance ratio must plateau, right? Yes, kind of. Once you're looking at more than around $2,000, I'd forget a soundbar and get either floor-standers, built-ins, or buy each piece individually. You'd probably get a better overall sound. But if you want an all-in-one, JBL's finally got the answer for you: the JBL Bar 1300XMK2 . I tested the original last year and loved it, so I was incredibly relieved when the upgraded version blew me away, too.Read V VRL Tecnologia VRL Tecnologia · 476K subscribers · Sept 2026
But ultimately, is it worth investing in this JBL 1300X MK2? Among the models I've tested on this channel so far, it's the one I liked the most. If you like strong, well-defined bass, this model will certainly surprise you. In addition, the completely wireless satellite speakers with internal batteries are a feature that I personally found very useful.Watch T

Amazon reviewers note the surround sound is not as effective as wired Dolby Atmos systems with many more speakers, such as those found in full-room home theater builds . Nonetheless, their 780W and 1570W power ratings suggest they are capable of delivering some of the punchy JBL Sound the brand is known for.Read O Origyn Origyn · 1.3K subscribers · Aug 2026
Overall, I would give the JBL Bar 1300X MK2 four out of five stars. In terms of price-performance ratio, it offers huge sound, excellent surround effects, powerful bass, useful connectivity, and one of the most practical rear speaker designs available. But the high price and the lack of 4K 120Hz signal pass-through prevented me from giving it five stars. However, for movie lovers, it remains one of the most powerful soundbar systems JBL has ever madeWatch
