GMKtec M6 Ultra
The mini PC the marketing pushes hardest right now, with a wall of near-identical promotional YouTube reviews behind it. Owner feedback on r/MiniPCs confirms it is a very powerful mini PC for the money, but that is the whole case: performance per dollar, not longevity. GMKtec’s warranty and firmware support is the thinnest of any brand on this board, and the M6 Ultra’s hype-to-ownership ratio is the worst of it. Buy the Geekom A9 Max if you want a Windows mini PC that will still be supported in three years.

Over a full 24-hour idle period, the GMKtec M6 Ultra shows very steady and well-controlled power behavior, averaging 10 W, with brief peaks up to 10.8 W and a low point of 2.5 W. For nearly the entire day, power draw remains within a tight 9.5 to 10.5 W range, indicating consistent idle operation without unexpected spikes or background activity ramping up.Read T
The GMKtec M6 Ultra is built around AMD's Ryzen 5 7640HS and DDR5 memory, with hardware that feels more like a higher-priced Mini-PC, including dual 2.5 GbE networking and USB4. With the 32 GB configuration coming in at around $510, it offers strong desktop performance in a compact chassis, without the premium price tag.Read T
The M6 Ultra scores 21.6, putting it slightly below the AX8 Max but still ahead of older DDR4-based Mini-PCs, so browsing should feel smooth.Read

One honest caveat worth flagging: this is integrated graphics, not a dedicated GPU. It handles office work, 4K media playback, and light gaming at reduced settings comfortably, but it's not built for demanding modern titles or serious GPU-bound creative work. If gaming or GPU-accelerated tasks are the priority, you'll want a machine with discrete graphics instead. For an everyday desktop replacement with genuinely useful connectivity and room to grow, the GMKtec M6 Ultra at $549.98 is a strong buy in this category.Read R
It's reasonably solid in the hands and features a pretty unique aesthetic.Watch W
The GMKtec M6 Ultra houses AMD's popular mainstream APU, the Ryzen 5 7640HS, which is a decent six-core part based on the Zen 4 core architecture and integrates the Radeon 760M iGPU, which is comparable to the older 680M, while offering new features and also ends up slightly faster thanks to optimizations for the RDNA 3 architecture.Read E
But, after putting the M6 Ultra through its paces, I'm convinced this is the real sweet spot. It's where mini PCs start to offer serious performance without blowing past that value threshold, and honestly, it's probably where most people should be looking.Watch K
The GMKtec M6 Ultra gives you all the power of a desktop in a package that’s about the size of a thick paperback. Its AMD Ryzen 5 7640HS CPU is a 6-core, 12-thread processor with integrated Radeon 760M graphics, giving you all the power you need for typical tasks at a fraction of the price of a similarly equipped laptop.Read P
It's tiny, it's powerful, and it might just be one of the best compact PCs for creators or everyday power users.Watch L
That makes the M6 Ultra fine for casual gaming or emulation of consoles up through the PS2 era. On 3DMark Time Spy, it scored 2,623 points—roughly in line with a GTX 1050 Ti—and passed the 3DMark stress test at 99.4 percent, indicating stable sustained performance.Read T

This might be for you if you are a gamer, student, office user, or media lover because this mini PC comes with desktop level performance and triple display capability. Inside it's powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 7640HS with Radium 760M graphics. Max support 128 GB of fast DDR5 RAM. Has dual PCIe 4.0 SSD slots. And all of this starts at a very aggressive price point.Watch B
So, I feel like they clearly got to be doing something right. And just to be fully transparent, they did send this unit out to me free of charge in exchange for a review. All right, now let's talk about specs. This system is powered by a Ryzen 5 7640HS which is a six core 12thread processor. It's paired with Radeon 760M graphics.Watch

It is a total shame they decided to go the route of cost-cutting in regards to only using a pcie3x4 and DDR5 4800- but I guess GMKtec are aiming at keeping things as cheap as they can make it. Will make a follow-up in regards to 5600 DDR5 speeds in the game testing video, but yes, only the slots are pcie4.Read thread J
I still prefer this more affordable 7640HS model.Watch
