GEEKOM just expanded its mini PC range with the A9 Max, a compact system that balances power, portability, and connectivity. At its core is AMD’s new Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, making it well-suited for heavy multitasking, AI workloads, and media editing. Despite measuring only 132 × 135 × 46.9 mm—about 0.836 liters in volume—it doesn’t skimp on performance or features. The A9 Max uses GEEKOM’s IceBlast 2.0 cooling setup, which combines a copper base, dual heat pipes, copper fins, and a turbo fan to keep temperatures stable even under heavy loads. Its all-metal chassis adds durability while keeping the design sleek and professional.Read I
Though the A9 Max is only available to order with Windows 11 Pro, Geekom advertises it as Linux compatible and as working well with Ubuntu specifically. We booted the unit into Ubuntu 24:04 from a USB stick and everything worked out of the box, making this a safe bet for those wanting an open-source machine.Read T
Power and efficiency are just as important as raw performance in a compact system, so I measured how much the A9 Max draws at idle, under CPU stress, during GPU-heavy tests, and while gaming. I also measured its noise levels while in an idle state and when the system is under a heavy workload.Read T

Geekom’s A9 Max 2026 was quiet at idle, with my readings showing it made about 29 to 30dB noise. The loudest it got was around 41dB, when I was trying to stress the system by running CPU and GPU benchmark tests simultaneously.Read M Matt Talks Tech Matt Talks Tech · 820K subscribers · Nov 2025

That brings us to the end of the video, though, and overall, I have to say I've been really impressed by Geekom's A9 Max. If you've been expecting something that's going to rival your full-size desktop with, say, a 250 W GPU, then this obviously isn't going to be that, but considering it's less than a liter in volume, I think the A9 Max really packs a punch and doesn't do a whole lot wrongWatch W

So I believe this comes with the 890M GPU and also a really competent processor with plenty of power, genuinely probably more powerful than anything else I own, but let's get this open. So already on the underside of the box we see A9 Max and it's got the Ryzen 9 AIHX470, which is certainly a bit of a mouthful. You also have 32 GB of DDR5.Watch K

The Geekum A9 Max isn't just another mini PC. It's a small machine with a big punch with excellent connectivity, strong Ryzen AI hardware, reliable integrated graphics, and surprisingly high gaming performance. It proves that compact PCs no longer need to compromise. Whether you're looking for a space-saving workstation, a capable gaming box, or an AI friendly productivity machine, the A9 Max shows it's possible to have it all in one sleek silver packageWatch C
Overall, the Geekcom A9 Max positions itself as one of the most capable small form factor PCs available in 2025. It combines AMD's cuttingedge stricks point processor with generous memory and storage, excellent connectivity, and the option to expand further if needed. The lack of OQ Link may disappoint power users who want the absolute fastest external GPU option, but the inclusion of USB4 mitigates this limitation. At its promotional price of $999, the A9 Max delivers outstanding value for performance, making it an excellent choice for gamers, professionals, and anyone looking for a compact yet versatile PC that can handle both work and playWatch G

Perhaps one of the best mini PCs you can buy. Or is it? With upgradeable storage and RAM, as well as a very powerful Ryzen CPU, I personally wouldn't ask for more. But is it worth the price? GEEKOM A9 Max review: my experience using this Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 mini PC for daily productivity and demanding software. With Radeon 890M graphics, 32GB DDR5 RAM, and a 2TB SSD, this compact desktop brings plenty of capability to my desk. What stands out most is how much it handles while staying quiet and taking up so little space. The software I use runs smoothly, and AI acceleration has been a useful bonus for certain tasks. The memory and storage meet my current needs, with room to expand laterWatch

Time Spy was down 12%, but having said that, it was also down by 6% against the EVO-X1. I reran the Time Spy scores a number of times, but the results were consistently lower for the A9 Max.Read T
>> Now, if you're buying this just for gaming, don't because that's not really going to be good price performance at all. You could build a really good desktop gaming PC for that price. This is more for somebody who knows they need a compact PC, knows they need this APU for specific workloads because this APU is a 12-core 24-thread processor.Watch T

So, this is the GeekCom A9 Max mini PC with the Ryzen AI 9 HX370. This is a 12 core 24threaded CPU with four performance cores and eight ecores. It's a powerful CPU. If you're interested in some Cinebench results, they're right here on screen for you. But I'm mostly interested in what that Radon 890M iGPU can do in games these days, especially in the recent extremely intensive and broken titles.Watch A
Is this thing a gaming PC killer? No, no, it's not. But if you like the idea of a handheld because of the low power and compact size, but you would want a big screen, keyboard, and mouse, well, this has got you covered, and it's got huge amounts of connectivity on it as well.Watch V
Still, there's a catch. The fan noise tends to ramp up noticeably during peak AI calculations or sustained gaming sessions. It isn't silent by any means, which can be distracting if you're recording a podcast or streaming.Watch

Its crazy you can't buy the Geekom A9 Max with 128gb of RAM. The whole selling point is that its expandable, but for whatever reason, they won't sell it to you with the machine. It sucks having to spend an extra 400 bucks to upgrade to 128gb. but its still the cheapest option I can find to run a 70 billion parameter LLM.Read thread V
