While the Gibson is truly a dream guitar in every sense of the phrase (1 will own one someday \u0026) - the Epiphone 1957 SJ-200 (IGC) is about 85% the same guitar, and is incredible "bang-for-the-buck" at around 1/4 the cost.

Based on these guitars, I’d definitely be happy to spend my money on one of the IBGC J200 models. The two acoustics I had were great, and I regret moving them on to be honest. The 355 is even better and going nowhere.

This is a very fancy guitar that reminds me of the Les Paul Artisan and Old Gibson Banjos!

Really love this axe.

This one plays really nice and uh really fun to look down at as you play. The binding on the neck hides the rosewood fretboard, so when you're looking down it's just all blonde and uh very beautiful stuff. Have a great day.

The Gibson SJ-200 Super Jumbo in this Antique Natural is undeniably one of the most iconic and aspirational Guitars ever produced.

This guitar sounds as good as it looks thanks to a solid spruce top, maple back \u0026 sides, rosewood fingerboard and mother of pearl inlays. It has a smooth "C profile" neck, a large tortoiseshell Pickguard plus a bone nut and saddle. Playing this guitar makes it abundantly clear why the J-200 is so beloved by musicians and why it'll continue to be a flagship of Gibson's guitar arsenal.

This ain't your average jumbo acoustic – it's a crown jewel of craftsmanship, a sonic powerhouse, and a guaranteed head-turner.

Both are truly incredible, but what is similar and different about them? Vince and Caleb go right into that with all the details about each guitar!

It feels good, plays good and sounds good. I have noticed that the guitars from Temu sound good but on the other hand they just sound "different". Hard to describe. I am sure the iPhone will not do it justice but you can get a good sense of what's going on with a quality guitar that is a fraction of the price of the real deal. This is solely based on how it plays and how it sounds.

Um but yeah, this is a really really high quality um model made by Epohone. So brand new. Uh just got uh released a couple of weeks ago and it is really uh filled to the brim with the best of specs. So yeah, very much excited about this one.

And the sound and feel, even to a guitar geek like me who's got them all, is impressive. So, let me play a little bit for you just so you can get an idea.

It sounds great right out of the box. It has a nice crisp and loud sound. I added medium phosphor bronze strings and it sounds awesome. I sanded down the bottom of the saddle just a little bit to allow the strings to sit a little bit lower. I also sanded the back of the neck to remove the sticky clear coat allowing for smoother transitions.

Both sound and play great but have some noticable differences. Let us know what you think! And don´t forget to check those guitars out in our shop.

Such a great sounding guitar. Um, maple takes the longest to break in of the more traditional tone woods. If we're just comparing mahogany and rosewood and maple, maple takes a lot longer to break in than those other ones. And so when it when you first get a maple guitar, it might sound a little bit harsh right out of the box. Um, but the more you play it, the more mellow it sounds.

It's in excellent shape, especially for the age. There's hardly anything wrong with it. I wouldn't. It's definitely not mint, but it's, you know, there's a couple little dings here and there, but the actual guitar itself is phenomenal condition. So, I'm going to give you kind of my honest review of J200's in general and especially this one.

Quality control has been inconsistent over the years, so playing a specific guitar before buying matters more with Gibson than some other brands.
