This gives the guitar a more complex and premium sound that many experienced players appreciate. The FG830 also stands out visually with elegant ivory binding that continues around the headstock.

And in my opinion, it’s a little bit easier to play it, than play large guitars. And also, according to manufacturers, they installed the scalloped bracing inside, that is, such braces that support the body. If you want a more upscale version of the FS800, this is it. If you’re going for pure value, the FS800 might be a better choice.

now Yamaha is offering that same guitar in the smaller (folk) size, the FS830. It features rosewood back & sides and comes in at an unbeatable price!

The Fs800/820/830 has a long scale but a narrow nut. So for me, easier grip, but can’t reach as far. That’s why I have to have more than one guitar!
