Beyond its visual appeal, the Bathys MG is a showcase of Focal’s acoustic expertise. At its heart are exclusive magnesium drivers, designed and manufactured in France, delivering precise, dynamic, high-fidelity sound. Every element has been refined to serve both exceptional listening quality and intuitive ease of use.Read E
The short answer, incredibly well. The first thing you'll notice is the level of detail. Songs you've heard hundreds of times suddenly reveal little background instruments, subtle vocal textures, and tiny production details that many wireless headphones simply gloss over. The bass is deep and controlled. It hits hard when the track calls for it, but it never overwhelms the rest of the music.Watch D
I’ve been rotating through travel headphones all year, and I keep reaching for the 'Focal Bathys MG' when I want two things: all-day comfort and battery life that doesn’t play games. They’re the pair I wear from morning edits to a sunset walk and still have juice left for a late-night playlist.Read T
One of the biggest highlights is the use of premium magnesium speaker drivers, which are engineered to deliver greater clarity, faster response, and improved detail across the frequency range. Vocals sound clean, instruments remain well separated, and the overall presentation feels spacious and refined.Watch T
So it turns out that good looks, excellent build and finish, splendid sound quality and some interesting technology can carry a pair of wireless over-ear noise-cancelling headphones a long way – and the Focal Bathys MG are pretty close to being a complete solution.Read S
Without altering the performance or design, this new version retains everything that has made the model a success: exceptional sound, exemplary French craftsmanship, and a level of performance that makes them some of the best portable headphones on the market.Read S

They are stunningly detailed operators, but what sees the Bathys Mg pull away from the pack (apart from their price) is their peerless sense of musicality and sonic engagement.Read T

Percussion benefits here, with snare hits carrying excellent snap, but cymbals are more hit-or-miss—some recordings sound crisp and well defined, others come off too hot. That’s likely not the headphone’s fault so much as a mirror reflecting questionable mastering choices.Read T
I will admit that I was a little bit skeptical that we would get something that was a significant improvement over the original Bathys in ways that would be meaningful to the target customer. Now, personally, my bias is that I use AirPods Pro Gen 2 um and I'm very happy with them. I'm not necessarily the kind of customer who would spend 800 or 1,000 plus dollars uh on a wireless headset.Watch C
There’s none of the anonymous matte black of something like the Sony WH-1000XM6 ; the Focal Bathys MG is styled in a warm shade of chestnut (their word), with Focal’s signature honeycomb pattern on each cup surrounding a glowing LED logo.Read I Instagram Instagram post
