The biggest issue came after I’d emptied the flour out of the collection bin, however, with the vacuum registering an error and refusing to work until my husband went outside and shook as much flour out of the filter as possible.

The edge cleaning is actually amazing. Yeah, I didn't even have to make that many passes over here. And on the left hand side, it's pretty much did just as well. On the front, it did not so great. Easily picks up all that dirt. Super clean pass. Does have that small part in the middle, but a lot of vacuums have that, so I don't get why people think it's such a big deal. Grooms just beautifully. Clump of hair right here or fuzz. There it is. Pulled that right in. Easy. From those is what it's from.

This is Dyson's most powerful hepa cordless vacuum with 315 air watts of suction, a compression on the bin that squeezes the dirt down so you don't have to empty it as much. Zero tangled hair when you empty. It has a anti-tangle brush roll and the submarine 2.0 wash nozzle. I'm going to switch to the back where it shows all the features. It has 70 minutes of run time with a very large battery.

On hard floors, the all floor cone since cleaner head auto detected the surface and adjusted both suction and brush speed, slowing down to be gentle on my hardwood. Multiple independent tests, Choice Australia, TechRadar, Mumsnet, all found the V16 cleans carpets worse. Worse than the older V15 Detect. Choice rated the V15 excellent on carpet. The V16, only good. In rug tests, the V15 cleared debris in a single sweep, while the V16, I mean, left particles behind.

Overall, I actually prefer it over Gen5. It actually looks huge on pics but in real life it's about V15 size if not smaller. Feels lighter than Gen5, about V15s weight.
