In this review, we take a deep dive into the DJI Power 1000 V2 portable power station to see how it stacks up in today’s crowded power station market. So, you can imagine my excitement when the good folks over at DJI reached out asking if they could sponsor a video of me checking out their newest portable power station, the DJI Power 1000 V2.

However, the new model is superior in almost every aspect and delivers more reliable performance over a longer period. If you often rely on a power station as a travelling creative or someone with an intermittent power supply at home, the Power 1000 v2 is the better choice.

So, the DJI Power 1000 Mini is the world's smallest 1 kWh power station. In fact, you can see sort of how small it is just in comparison to my sort of normal-size water bottle. Small, light, it's really nice just to whip around. I like that it only has one handle. It really doesn't need to cuz it just does not weigh very much at all. And that helps keep the form factor down nice and small.

We've been testing the @djipower global Power 2000, Power 1000 V2 and Power 1000 Mini power stations and we are impressed. Each one serves a different purpose and power requirement - whether it's for full-time travel, multi-day adventures or the casual weekender.

So, that 2,600 W inverter is going to power the majority of the appliances that you're going to need in your off-grid sort of recreational outdoor use. So, things like your induction cooktop, a coffee machine, uh an air fryer, as well as charging batteries, laptops, uh tablets, anything like that.

The DJI Power 1000 Mini is a portable power station from DJI, who are, of course, best known for their drone and camera stabilisers, the RS5 being the latest for mirrorless, while last week we saw the release of the Pocket 4.

The act of charging or a heavy load on the power station causes a fan to run, which is whisper quiet in this model at only 26dB. This is quiet enough to sleep next to, equivalent to the sound of a modern air conditioner.

With an amazingly powerful 2,600W inverter in such a small unit, it's no wonder that this thing can run pretty much anything. But, there is one major catch.

Just bought this one v2 , and I love it so far ❤🎉! Been cooking with it , it’s more compatible with induction cooktops than regular electric plate cooktops in case anybody would need to know lol .

So, they're boasting it as the the smallest watt-hour power station on the market. And it's pretty small. It's about a little over a foot this way, little over 8 inches this way, and 8 inches tall. So, it does have a 1000 watt-hour lithium iron phosphate battery pack in it. And it's also got an inverter that can do up to 1000 watts continuous, I think 1200 watts in special situations.

This is the smallest 1kWh power station on the market and has a ton of really useful features built in - making practical use much easier.

Free power is free power, this is cool stuff! Thanks for the upload.

But and this is a really important part for me which the Minute in the name now suggests it does all of this while keeping it in a compact form factor that is actually made for traveling. And believe me that does not come easier in this kind of product.

This is the Power 1000 Mini from DJI. It's a portable power station with a 1000 watt hours of power capacity. That's enough power to charge your phone or your camera more than 50 times. It can also charge a whole bunch of other stuff, which we'll get into. Uh my computer is plugged into it right now. I got phone and and camera batteries and and everything else plugged in there as well.

Did you fix the problem plaguing the Power 1000 and the constantly reoccurring "overload" problem? I have 3 of the Power 1000's used as backups in case of power outage and they all periodically/routinely come up with an Overload fault and I've read a lot of online comments about others having the same problem. I chatted with a DJI "rep" and didn't really get an answer.

I have a mix of 12 power 1000, 1000v2 and 2000 units and every one has developed a fault in under 12 months. I can only upload one photo but the errors range from usb-a errors , usbc errors. Communication between bms and main board - randomly turning off…. You have request me return them, but no courier will accept 250kg of fault high capacity batteries….

I have my DJI Power 1000 connected to both the electrical grid and solar panels simultaneously, allowing it to charge based on whichever energy source is available. However, the unit occasionally continues to draw power solely from the solar panels—rather than the grid—even when grid power is present and offers higher output.

In my opinion both the DJI Power 1000 and the EcoFlow Delta 2 are great portable solar generator option.

But with a sticker price of around P36,000 depending on retailer—which can balloon past P45,000 with accessories—it isn’t an investment to be made lightly. So while I think most people can find use for the Power 1000 Mini, it’s the enthusiasts and power users (heh) that will get the most value out of it.

DJI charges faster and outputs more. Jackery has a proven track record and better solar.

by the way, if you want to know something negative (like the only thing I can think of negatively) the claimed AH by DJI is actually much lower------- in the 80% rainge, Bluetti is usually in the 90 percentile. If you want to know.

Overall, the DJI Power station is a strong, quiet, fast-charging portable power unit with excellent build quality and serious output capability. It is great for RV trips, camping, outages, refrigerators, laptops, lights, and general backup power. But it is not perfect: accessories add cost, solar setup is less convenient than it should be, and light-load efficiency could be better.

One important think you missed, is the operating temperature (useful especially in your use case : North Pole). Anker SOLIX C1000 can discharge up to –20 °C (–4 °F) while the EcoFlow DELTA 3, Jackey and DJI can do –10 °C (14 °F).

I purchased a Power 1000 in December 2025 and it sucks ass. It will randomly shut down every few weeks. Undependable and unreliable. Don't buy.

If one is looking mainly at the price-to-power ratio and expandability, then DJI Power 1000 V2 may indeed come off as the most reasonable.

Can Power 1000 supply high AC power, like 2000w, to other appliances, while it is charged at 600 or 1200w? Thanks!
