My pair of the Gel-Nimbus 27 is at 146 miles and it will be used at least until 350 miles. Even with my overpronation the Gel-Nimbus series tend to last a long time to me and I prefer using them instead the Gel-Kayano series that I also love and tend to last a bit longer. As a heel striker I see some wear in the rubber and foam in the heelals while the forefoot is still new.Watch H
Honestly, when I was doing my my top 10 list uh for comfort sneakers, I had the Noval Blast in that list and then when I tried these on, I was like, "Okay, I think that these are more comfortable than the Noval Blast." One caveat though, the Nova Blast 5 actually has a different type of midsole foam in it. Like the newer style of midsole foam, this one does not have that. However, on feet, I stillWatch G
Runners seeking a well-cushioned shoe for daily running should consider the Gel Nimbus 27. Full of comfortable padding and a flexible upper, runners who want to prioritize comfort at the core of their running experience will appreciate what Asics has created with this shoe.Read T
The AS6 gel numbers 27 is all about easy pace comfort. The midsole has a thick slab of flight foam blast plus ecoam underfoot and Asex has added one and a half ms across the stack versus the old Nimbus 26 for an even more cushioned ride. There's also a pure gel heel insert to improve shock absorption, particularly for heel strikers, and it's one of the heavier daily trainers out there.Watch T
The GEL-NIMBUS 27 is a Max cushion shoe – in fact I’ve heard it be described as ‘mega max’ due to its stack height. With an 8mm drop and 41.5mm heel/33.5mm forefoot stack height, this is one of the plushest shoes in the ASICS range – and one of the most popular!Read T
The AS6 Gel Nibbus 27 isn't a drastic update to its predecessor, but it does include a couple of big updates to improve the overall comfort of the shoe. The most important of those is an increase in the stack height of FF Blast Eco Midsole foam by 2 mm to add even more cushioning to the ride. And the other is a new engineered jacketed mesh upper to improve comfort and breathability.Watch E EDDBUD stevesandvik2577 · owner · Dec 2024

But I was very surprised at the pace I was managed to get down to in this shoe. After that I then took it out for my easy double on the Thursday. So I did a Thursday morning session. I took this one out on the Thursday evening for a nice six miles. And then I've also taken it out on Friday morning for a further 8 miles. As I said all of them are a nice relaxed easy conversational pace.Watch R
After logging plenty of miles in these, I can say they deliver just what Asics claims: a whole lot of cushioning, all wrapped up in a stable, comfy shell.Read F
So, in the Gel Nimbus 27, we've got some stability features like big sidewalls on the outside and the inside of the heel, a broadbased support, and some soul flare. These contribute to extra stability factors to make it more of a stable neutral shoe rather than a classic stable shoe. Whereas in the Gelkano 32, it's very much a moderate stability shoe. It's got a 4D guidance system.Watch B

So, this historically was an excellent shoe for recovery runs, easier runs, longer runs, but it can also now do some uptempo workouts. In contrast, the 1080 is more used for those easier runs, longer runs. It's more of a steady workhorse of a shoe. When it comes to lifestyle use, the 1080 is probably a little bit more favorable as it's not as aggressive as the Nimbus 27.Watch R

I will probably get the Gel-Nimbus 27 since the 26th was my high cushioning shoes of the year. But on the other hand I dislike the shoes becoming even larger . I also got a Puma MagMax, and it is so huge . i think that my desired limit for a high stack middlesole is in the lower 40 millimeters and not 45mm plus . I also hopes it has a great grip in raining days since the 26th and the MagMax.Watch C
While the mid-sole is quite good at absorbing impact, I don't find that it gives you much back. This being an EVA based foam makes it quite boring. It can feel a bit sluggish underfoot.Watch T
PACU nurse Sheila, who’s on her feet for about 10 hours per shift, says the Asics Gel Nimbus 27 Shoe gives her the solid footing she needs to move confidently all day. Its wide, supportive base and impact-absorbing midsole help steady every step, even when she’s carrying extra weight or turning quickly on hospital floors.Read M
And while the Gel-Nimbus 27 does have a wide platform for extra stability, it’s a neutral shoe that doesn’t offer any corrective support for overpronation. Runners who like the soft upper and high-cushion design but need a bit more support should try out the Asics Gel-Kayano 31 .Read I r/indianrunners u/whiskeyin · owner
Nimbus is a maximum cushion shoe which is made to provide comfort during your recovery runs. Its energy return is very well known to be terrible. Should’ve gone for Adizero Evo SL. That shoe will make you flyy. So lightweight and great energy return.Read thread

RSD#860 I have ran the past couple of days in a new shoe ASICS gel nimbus 27, I noticed the front of my ankle and the back have been bothering me. The tongue of the shoe comes up higher and it has a support rim around the back of the ankle. I don’t know if I will get used to that. Went back to my trusty Saucony Endorphin speed 5, they just feel good! Have a great Sunday!View post R
If you already own one, there is zero need to buy the other. Because if you did, congratulations. You essentially purchased the same shoe twice. Styling aside, Gel Nimbus 27 and Gel Kono 31 share the same general shape and structure of the shoe.Watch X
Despite this limited use, I noticed significant wear and tearing on the collar area, including the inner upper rear and side sections, on both the right and left shoes. I became aware of this issue in December 2025. Due to this problem, I returned the shoes to the store where I purchased them for inspection.Read
