The Yeti Roadie 48 blew every other cooler out of the water across our test metrics, earning its top-of-the-line reputation — and the hefty price that comes with it. No cooler matched its insulation: our food stayed safe below 40 degrees for 6.8 days, and our drinks kept cold for 7.5.Read L

This is an impressively deep cooler that’s large enough to hold wine bottles standing up. On the flip side, its depth isn’t so great when you’re searching for a drink in a vat of ice. The handle is also a bit tall for shorter folks; the handles on our top picks accommodate people of all heights.Read R
The biggest pros of this cooler are the depth (near 15.5” of vertical clearance) and obviously the wheels. Also, a drain plug is included unlike the yeti 24 roadie! That’s a big bonus.Watch F
It didn’t make the list of winners because the handle is made with a lot of moving parts that can break, and while the cooler offers best-in-class insulation, it’s a lot more expensive than similar models, like RTIC’s Ultra-Light Wheeled Cooler .Read S
What we like: Class-leading build quality and insulating performance with a smaller form factor than many competitors. What we don’t: You pay a steep premium for the Yeti name, not bear proof like the Tundra line.Read L
My only real qualm is that its lid latches are made of plastic, which raises a durability question compared to the rubber latches used by some rivals.Read A
The cooler can be heavy when fully loaded, and the price is on the higher end, but the performance justifies the investment for serious anglers.Read T
Pros: Super easy to maneuver, top marks in durability and ice retention, useful form factor Cons: Pricey, still heavy and bulkyRead S
What we like: Typical Yeti build quality, class-leading ice retention, and manageable but versatile size.Read
