The XIAOMI Pad 8 Pro is aimed at the person who wants one tablet to cover evening streaming, fast everyday apps and a fair amount of desk work without stepping into full laptop money. Its strongest pull is the mix of a high-end Snapdragon platform, a sharp 11.2-inch 3.2K 144Hz display and a slim 485g metal body, while the clearest trade-off is that the charger is not included and the wider productivity pitch depends on how much you are willing to add around it.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro is an amazing premium Android tablet, with flagship specs offering good value for money. There’s impressive performance and battery life, useful software features and a range of accessories to get the tablet experience that you want. The display is high spec, but the glossy finish is a downside, while the software support isn’t as long as some rivals.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro is a powerful Android tablet that can do much more than just streaming and browsing. It works surprisingly well as a work device for emails, texts and research during the day, as a notepad with a stylus in between, and then switches to an entertainment tablet in the evening. The hardware offers more than enough performance reserves, the display is razor-sharp with vibrant colors, and the battery life is impressive for mobile use. Combined with the optional accessories, the Pad 8 Pro becomes a versatile companion that effortlessly handles both productive tasks and entertainment.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro gives the impression of a device where priorities are set in a balanced and deliberate way. It does not try to stand out through unconventional solutions or experimental features, but instead focuses on powerful hardware, a solid build, good audio, fast charging, and a strong performance reserve that should remain relevant for several years. Overall, the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro leaves a very positive impression.

Anyway, on a scale of 1 to 10, okay, on a scale of 1 to 10, I'm going to give the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro a serious, serious try. And at $480, as Bob Barker would say, the price is right. The only thing I can find fault with is the lack of an AMOLED display, but other than that, this tablet has everything. Everything you need, everything you want from a good tablet

For gaming, the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro is a dreamy machine, and I am not exaggerating. Genshin Impact runs at a smooth 60fps on the highest settings, and shooter games fare no different. I spent maximum time playing Zenless Zone Zero and The Division Resurgence at the peak graphics settings, and had a lovely time. What impressed me even more than the peak performance, though, was the way it handles heat.

Next to a Windows laptop, the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro is a nice addition. I also have a Redmi (Xiaomi brand) phone so I do have some synergies too between my phone and my tablet. I like to read comics on my Pad 8 Pro, especially with the matte-glass screen. Writing notes with a pen is decent but I think for that, iPads are better (the Apple Pen is pricey tho).

The XIAOMI Pad 8 Pro brings flagship performance, a laptop-grade display, and huge battery life at a price well below Apple’s iPad. In this review I test the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, the 11.2-inch 3.2K 144Hz display, HyperOS 3 multitasking, 9000 mAh battery with 67W charging, the Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro, and the optional Pro Focus keyboard. You’ll learn how it performs for work, media, creative projects, and where Xiaomi cut corners (no LTE, no charger in the box, app optimization limits).

Whether you're into mobile gaming or you're looking for a device that can handle your heavy workloads, this tablet is a great option. The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, however, feels like the tablet Xiaomi always intended to build. By finally pairing its refined design and display with a true flagship processor, improved battery capacity, and more polished software, Xiaomi has removed the last major compromises from its high-end tablet lineup. If you already own the Pad 7 Pro, the upgrade makes sense primarily if you value maximum performance, longer-term future-proofing, or the new anti-reflective display option. For new buyers or power users, the Pad 8 Pro stands out as the more complete, confident, and forward-looking choice, cementing Xiaomi's place among the top Android tablet makers

We think the Xiaomi Pad 8 offers great performance, a nice display and premium build quality, especially once the price drops a bit. It’s good value if you’re looking for a gaming tablet or just something for Netflix or YouTube streaming at home. Unless you really need a fingerprint reader and better performance, there’s not much reason to spend more on the Pro. The Pad 8 Pro is in a weird spot in comparison. It’s one of the fastest Android tablets, but we would only get it if you need an 11-inch tablet or if it’s a bit cheaper than the OnePlus Pad 3 . The OnePlus offers similar gaming performance with a much bigger display and better keyboard option.

However, compared to other tablets using the Snapdragon 8 Gen chip, its performance in PC Elite is far below average. In terms of touch control, especially with 144 frames compared to other large Android tablets, this performance is definitely in the top tier. If compared to the iPad Pro, there is still a certain gap in stability when aiming. Considering the instability at 144 frames, I switched back to 120 frames to retest it. Sure enough, after switching back to 120 frames, it ran more stably compared to 144 frames with the lowest frame rate stabilizing around 110 and the fluctuation range to 120 frames further reduced to about 10 frames.
